In this thread I'll post / link my favorite music - it's too tedious to make a new thread for each band-

Listening to my older CD's got me thinking about some of these that I hadn't heard in quite a while (except for occasionally on a rock-oriented station).

Most will be older bands / songs-some popular, others obscure, so the younger guys might find something new to explore- the older guys might remember most of them-

The point isn't to debate who is "best", but rather share some music that I think is high quality that I haven't seen mentioned on this site (at least not lately)-

So, even though I like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, etc. as well as anyone, there are plenty of links already posted-

Enjoy, and feel free to comment or add selections-

Blue Oyster Cult

One of my favorites during high school and early college- very underrated IMO- some of the videos are weak, but it was the '80's.

Fire of Unknown Origin

Burnin' for You

Veteran of the Psychic Wars - live- Buck Dharma solo

Sole Survivor - skip to 1:20

Joan Crawford - cheesy '80's video...

Don't Fear the Reaper

Mirrors

Godzilla

Take Me Away

Shooting Shark

Jean Beauvoir - he's a little different-

Missing the Young Days

This is Our House

Feel the Heat - theme from Cobra (Stallone)

Crown of Thorns is a band he formed later- and their disc is very good, but I can find no way to load it-

Eat Your Heart Out

I saw these guys (?) live on the quad at Jacksonville State University when I was a teenager- some funky dudes to invade a small southern town in the '80's-

And not just a little .

We all get Mulligan's-

It was a perfect song when they played that tune in the Johnny Depp flick "Powder"......

Up late again

I was listening to some older music, and figured what the hell- throw it out there-

Although, I did get off on a slightly  track there in the middle-

Too tired to post anymore tonight- I'm sure everyone is disappointed-

DSN 150, These guys have Blue Oyster Cult-like harmonies and even sound similar, albeit in a slightly less glossy-produced way in my opinion.

Wow.  I like that.  It's got a Jeff Lynne/Fleetwood Mac vibe.  I had never heard them before.  I'm going to check this band out.

Good stuff-  I do like that-
Agree a bit less polished maybe, but very nice nonetheless-
That's what I was hoping might happen when I started this-

Keep 'em coming-
I've got a few more yet to come-

Mugg, jmw-

Good stuff-
This is the kind of thing I could do for hours on end-

Crown of Thorns were a bit scary. Sounded like KISS.
Check out Kings X. Beatles meets metal meets Queen.
These guys are quite great.

Wait Until the Summer's Gone

Arabian Nights

He's Making You the Fool - Randy Jackson solo / acoustic- poor quality but the original studio version is very well done-
