#2 Posted: 7/17/2009 12:21:28 AM Well, it's not as thought provoking as the great Rob Zombie vs. Enrique Iglesias debate, but Pearl Jam definitely trumps Stone Temple Pilots anytime, anywhere.

#5 Posted: 7/19/2009 12:24:47 AM no a fan of either band but i do believe Pearl Jam is the better band. saw them live about 7 or 8 years ago. they played a 2.5 hour set. that was pretty cool. Eddie V was hammered though. but i guess thats to be expected. better than being on heroin like Scott Weiland would have been.

#8 Posted: 7/20/2009 12:02:07 PM STP in my book. No friggin around with heavy meaning in the jam......just very high octane tunes that drive. |

#12 Posted: 9/27/2009 8:23:55 PM I can't stand Pearl Jam. Unbelievable boring. One of the most over rated bands ever.
Not a huge STP fan either but I easily like them better than Pearl Jam. |

#13 Posted: 9/30/2009 11:19:20 PM I'll take STP, like the sound more and the lyrics. Weiland is awesome but it's a shame what he's done to himself with drugs. Seen him a few time with VR, the first time absolutely awesome, the last time - horrible. I knew they were done with him after the Libertad tour. Please someone tell me some Pearl Jam songs as good as Where the River Goes, Crackerman or Vasoline. I don't think this is even a fair contest. What else big song does Pearl Jam have other than Black? Betterman, that's a joke. |

#15 Posted: 10/1/2009 1:59:44 AM Pearl Jam has a larger amount of good songs...but if STP had their garbage together it's gotta be Scott Weiland and Co.

I concur. STP was probably more creative, but they did not put out as much music as Pearl Jam. For their overall body of work, I would also have to go with Pearl Jam. |
