Staying 3 nights, bringing wife and friends.

Have not been to Vegas in years, open to any advice on places to take the woman and friends for drinking/dancing. Best place to bet on games? I hear Mirage sportsbook offers free drinks in the sports lounge. Best place to eat dinner?

Thanks for any advice

I'm going to assume your group is 40 years old and over, or close to that? My favorite place with an older crowd is Carnival Court, which is right outside of Harrah's. The have great DJ and cover band, great bartenders, great time. Its rated as one of the best bars in town, especially if you don't want to deal with the hardcore club crowd.

In terms of sports, you'll get the sharpest lines and best betting options at Cantor books which are located at the M, Hard Rock, Cosmopolitan, Venetian and Tropicana. Cosmo, Venetian and Trop are all on the main part of the strip. They are not great places to watch the game though as they are designed strictly for betting and you won't get drinks unless your betting alot...Caesars and Mirage will give you 1 drink ticket for every $200+ bet or so and are much better places to watch the game. Often you'll need to ask though if they don't offer it when you place your bet.

Bellagio is fairly liberal on drinks as long as you have a ticket (although alot of times they don't even ask) and you get better quality booze too.

As for clubs, there are a ton, but it really depends on what your looking for. High-end or basic.
