I didn't think to post at the time, but I guess its noteworthy.
After the out of bounds foul with 18 seconds to go the minx went to the line for 1 and get the ball back where down 2, 3 after the potential free throw Seattle was going for the instant foul. Assuming all 3 are made im up 5, and likely to grow with a miss by the Seattle on the other end since they would have had to rush a 3 in the 5 point game with under 12 seconds to go, likely resulting in a Minx cover of the -5 spread.
Instead they hit 1 of 3 FT's keeping it a 3 point game and Bird hits the jumper on the other end and the rest is history.
Soooo close yet so far.
Luckily I hedged second over and second half Seattle as the halftime line was the same as the starting line for 500 each. In hindsight I would have been shitting my pants to the max if both ends of my Parley hit and the Giants were going for the field goal to win the game. If that had happened I would have lost my Parley on only the Eagles and would have lost both ends of my hedges for -2700 instead of ending up +240.
