well if you look around at different sites predicting nfc east standings, dallas is hovering around 3rd in most. This is the first time in a long time that they arent all over them pegging them nfc east champs or atleast a wild card. They will be looked over, the defense is night and day different from last year, not just in the secondary but the whole learning the defensive scheme thing. It takes time to learn a new defense and after last year and this whole camp, OTA's and preseason we should be good to go. I believe we will have a top 5 defense this year, the addition of Carr and Claiborne are huge but Church may be just as big, not to mention a healthy bruce carter and dan conner. Offense has never been the problem, yea romo lost the game vs the lions and and pretty much lost the game vs the jets but romo is solid and the only concern i have is the offensive line. If the can block for Romo we will score points and i think our defense is good enough to hold onto big leads in the 4th this year.

In the last 5 meetings, Giants have 15 sacks, the Cowboys have only 4 sacks
lean to Giants in this game

What’s funny is when all the prognosticators and NFL “Experts” were all over Dallas to win the division and some said, “win the Superbowl” I was laughing. They were an average football team as a whole and were a joke defensively and the offensive line has always made me cringe.
Now everyone has Dallas finishing third in the East and NOW I think they should be respected! The Dallas defense will be the best defense in the East. I believe the Eagles and Cowboys are going to be fighting until the end to be called the best defense in the east.
I have the Giants as the FOURTH best team in the east. Yeah I said fourth! Every smart Cowboys fan knows the only thing keeping Dallas from winning every year has been coaching, defense, special teams, and the offensive line. They now have a respectable coaching staff, special teams, a young monster defense, and have one the best offensive line coaches in the league named Bill Callahan.
In spite of the pathetic play by the offensive line, Romo’s offense averages over 29 points a game against the Giants defense. The Giants offense averages over 30 points a game against the "old" Cowboys defense. Hell NO… that’s not happening against this new defense. I’ve been waiting 17 years to say this…the Cowboys are a legit offensive line away from being an elite football team.

there was concern's in the cowboys camp about the starters not getting adequate playing time together in the preseason.........anyone have an idea how that will translate into the regular season?

In the last 5 years, Romo has been starting QB, Romo’s offense averages 28 points opening day, his offensive line is always bad, and his team is never healthy. This is nothing new. I’m more worried about the high chance of a thunderstorm weather forecast.

2-GM Pleaser - ties win
Dallas Cowboys -6 Atlanta Falcons -11

It all comes down to is no one respects the defending champs. All I hear is oh Dallas is improved and Romo has grown up. I'll take my chances with Eli over Romo, Coughlin to out coach Garrett, and the defending sb champs all star d-line over a suspect Dallas o-line.

I go down the checklist. I truly believe Dallas has the edge in QB, Running back, WR, Defense, and special teams for the first time in 17 years. The only weakness is injuries and the offensive line. Dallas hasn’t had an offensive line in 17 years, so this shit is nothing new and Romo still puts up 29 points a game on the G-men. If it was being played in a dome, my analysis says Dallas by double digits.
I know it sounds crazy, trust me I know, but that is what the info available says. I’ve never bet on Dallas in the over 11 years I’ve been doing this. This will be my first time. The weather bothers the hell out of me, but I can’t let the weather channel scare me from placing bets. The weather channel before has lied to me and it cost me money because I backed out of a bet.
I’m not saying to go bet Dallas, I’m just sharing my thoughts. There are better bets on the board than this one. This game has heart attack all over it.

Biscuit, you’re right man, in the first game of the season, Superbowl title-defending teams are 11-0 sr8 up the last 11 seasons. I believe that trend dies this year though IMHO... I hope
