They werent going to stop payton anyway with a 2 min drive to win the game punt or not their only chance was to get 1 yard for a first down and then they win the game right then and there....
Honestly do you think you have a better chance as Pats O who has been churning Indy D all night for 1 yard? Or stopping a REDDD HOTTT Payton Manning who just led his team down the field with two 2 minute drives in the 4th quarter? Honestly YOU TELL ME!?

Flutiemaniac341 you have said that in FOUR different threads now, and you are still completely, retardedly wrong.
The 2 situations couldn't be more different.
Please shut up.
I'm ok with you having a differing opinion, same as Flacco ... but you are just completely retarded.

Do I need to explain a moneyline bet to you?

Bad, bad call, you have to punt here. There's always the possibility you won't get the 1st down, then your pretty much handing the game to the Colts.
At least make them earn it with a long drive where they could make a mistake.
I also believe it was a bad spot, yea he did juggle it but gained control quickly, I pretty sure he gained control before being pushed past the 30 yd line.

See you guys are not taking into account the game is OVER if you get the 1 yard....
Yes, I understand his thinking, but still the dumbest decision by a head coach that I have ever seen, and I have seen a bunch of them.
Mad

Not quite sure why people cannot understand Belicheck might trust his offense to get 1 yard (especially considering how many they have ripped on the colts all night) then it would be for his defense to stop peyton for 70 yards (considering he just drove the entire field with ease TWICE already in the 4th quarter in UNDER TWO MINUTES BOTH TIMES)
There is no standard rulebook for how coaches should play percentages and sometimes a coach may know his team better then anyone obviously.

you should quit gambling if you think that was the right call.
do you realize the message he just sent hsi defense tonight? they he has no faith in them to stop one last drive.
sorry but you punt the ball no matter how hot manning was, because theres nothing that says he couldnt get intercepted on the final drive.
You have to play defense.

Flutie, plz ... shut up.
You are too stupid to try and explain this to, but let me give it a go.
In the game you have now referenced on four separate occasions, it was mid-way through the THIRD quarter, at home against a QB with serious flaws.
Today was with ONE MINUTE TO GO, away at a team with the best QB in the league.
He very well may have driven them the 60 or 70 yards anyway, but to suggest this is the same scenario .. wow, it's amazing you can switch on a computer without electrocuting yourself.
