The Stanford Cardinal get the 2014 BCS bowl festivities started as 6.5-point faves over Michigan State.
Michigan State Spartans
The Spartans will look to win their first Rose Bowl appearance in 26 years.
The Baylor Bears head into the Fiesta Bowl ranked No. 5, but own the nation's top offense, scoring 53.3 points per game.
Central Florida Knights
The Knights boast a stellar defense, allowing 19.6 points per game but will have their hands full with Baylor's offense.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The Tide had hoped to be playing in a different bowl game, so could be in for a letdown in the Sugar Bowl.
The Sooners are currently listed as big 15.5-point underdogs in the Sugar Bowl, but are 4-1 ATS in their last five bowls.
Ohio State Buckeyes
The No. 7 ranked Buckeyes are 2.5-point faves over the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl.
History doesn't bode well for Clemson backers as the Tigers are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight bowl games.
It has been a magical close to the season for the Tigers, but they head into the BCS National Championship game as 8.5-point dogs.
Florida State Seminoles
The unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Seminoles are led by Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and are the fave to hoist the Coaches' Trophy on Jan. 6.

1* Free Play Predators.Predators' goaltender Pekka Rinne is on fire to open the year and we think he'll once again be the difference in this contest. Rinne has stopped 56 of 57 shots in his team's 2-0 start, getting a ton of help from his defense which has killed off all eight power plays that he's faced. Note that Rinne has posted a 2.14 GAA and .928 save percentage in five career outings vs. the Devils. New Jersey has opened 0-2 and hasn't won in regulation since March 20th, going 1-9-3 with one SO win in that span. Goaltender Corey Schneider is 0-7-2 with a 3.11 GAA and .898 save percentage during the stretch of futility (and note that in four career starts vs. the Predators he's posted a pedestrian 3.00 ERA). With Rinne playing at an all star level to open the season, there's no question the NASHVILLE does indeed become worthy of a second look in this matchup.AAA Sports
