The Stanford Cardinal get the 2014 BCS bowl festivities started as 6.5-point faves over Michigan State.
Michigan State Spartans
The Spartans will look to win their first Rose Bowl appearance in 26 years.
The Baylor Bears head into the Fiesta Bowl ranked No. 5, but own the nation's top offense, scoring 53.3 points per game.
Central Florida Knights
The Knights boast a stellar defense, allowing 19.6 points per game but will have their hands full with Baylor's offense.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The Tide had hoped to be playing in a different bowl game, so could be in for a letdown in the Sugar Bowl.
The Sooners are currently listed as big 15.5-point underdogs in the Sugar Bowl, but are 4-1 ATS in their last five bowls.
Ohio State Buckeyes
The No. 7 ranked Buckeyes are 2.5-point faves over the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl.
History doesn't bode well for Clemson backers as the Tigers are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight bowl games.
It has been a magical close to the season for the Tigers, but they head into the BCS National Championship game as 8.5-point dogs.
Florida State Seminoles
The unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Seminoles are led by Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and are the fave to hoist the Coaches' Trophy on Jan. 6.

1* Oakland (10:05 ET): It's been a while since I've seen anything quite like the poor luck the A's have experienced this season. Two more one-run losses the L2 days have them at 2-15 in games decided by that margin. That's why a team that has the run differential of essentially a .500 team is currently 15 games below .500.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are coming off an impressive three-game sweep of the Royals, a series that saw them allow just four runs total. So they're back in first place in the AL East with their stock back up after previously dropping six in a row. But now they're back on the road and I think tonight is an excellent "sell high" opportunity on the Pinstripes as they start CC Sabathia, whose results no longer match his reputation. The Yanks have lost six of Sabathia's nine starts this year, including the last one where he allowed six runs in just 2 1/3 IP.
For Oakland, Kendall Graveman was outstanding his last time out when I took him against Tampa Bay & the end result was a 5-0 A's victory. He delivered six scoreless innings and allowed just three hits. Here, he benefits from the fact that the Yankees have dropped nine of 10 here at the O.co Coliseum. 1* Oakland
