K's continue to pile up for Houston

Only eight games, the Houston Astros strikeout rate is becoming one of the must-watch streaks of the season.

Through Tuesday, the Astros have whiffed 92 times in eight games, which is an average of 11.5 strikeouts per game.

At this rate, Houston batters will strikeout 1,863 times in 162 games, crushing the MLB record of 1,403 held by the 2010 Arizona Diamondbacks, according to ESPN's Jayson Stark.

The Astros beat Seattle 16-9 on Tuesday for their second win of the season. They reside at 2-6 and are -312 in the money standings. The over is 5-3 in Houston's eight games.

Wednesday night in Seattle, Brad Peacock will go to the mound for the 'Stros at +153. The Mariners are -166 and Blake Beaven will start. The total is 7.5.

This will not last forever, because Porter WILL NOT put up with it. These kids will learn to play the correct way or hit the highway. (which is probably where some need to be now)
