The bettor's plight with the Dallas Cowboys
All the mainstream talk about the Cowboys tends to focus on Tony Romo - is he an elite quarterback or isn't he?
If you're a sports bettor, the answer to that question is: who cares? All the sports bettor cares about are wins and losses. And the real trouble with the Cowboys is that they tend to lose when they're not supposed to and they win when they're not supposed to.
The numbers overwhelmingly support that going back the past couple of seasons to the 2010-11 campaign. Since that time, the Cowboys are a disgusting 4-18-1 ATS (against the spread) as a favorite and they're 9-4 ATS as a dog.
This year's start to the season is a microcosm of that where they're 1-0 ATS as an underdog so far and 0-3 ATS as a favorite.
You can ponder on the reasons for that, but the Cowboys are +3.5 this week at Baltimore
coming off a bye. Prior to that, they dropped three straight games against the spread as a favorite.
