Pick 'n' roll: Saturday's best NBA bets

Miami Heat at New Jersey Nets (-3.5, 195.5) odds provided by logans

Devin Harris and the Nets try to win consecutive home games for the first time this season Saturday when they host Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat.

Harris scored 41 points - six shy of his career high set earlier this season - in the Nets' 121-97 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. After receiving a standing ovation from Nets fans during his introduction, Jason Kidd's return to the Izod Center for the first time since last season's trade was overshadowed by the player New Jersey (13-12) got in return.

Harris finished 14 of 25 from the field - including 5-for-9 from 3-point range - and had a season-high 13 assists.

"(Devin had a) special night, but he works his tail off every night," Nets coach Lawrence Frank said. "It's good to have reinforcement with all that hard work that you can have special nights like this. But he's had a lot of special nights."

The Heat (13-12) are also looking to build momentum, after they snapped their three-game losing streak with an 89-87 victory Friday over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wade scored 35 points after being held below 20 in the prior two games, as Miami withstood a late rally by the Lakers that fell short when Kobe Bryant's shot bounced off the rim.

Although the Heat had another underwhelming offensive showing, scoring fewer than 90 points for the fourth straight game, they forced 21 turnovers while holding the Lakers to their fewest points of the season.

The Heat won this season's first meeting with the Nets, 99-94 in Miami on Nov. 10, when Wade scored 33 points. Harris was sidelined with a sprained left ankle for New Jersey.

Pick: Over

Denver Nuggets at Phoenix Suns (-4.5, 222) odds provided by logans

The Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets have been two of the NBA's highest-scoring teams over the last several years, but both clubs have rededicated themselves to defense this season.

Based on recent results, the defensive development of each team is still a work in progress.

The Suns and Nuggets look to bounce back from disappointing defensive efforts as they square off Saturday night in Phoenix, where Denver hasn't won in more than three years.

Phoenix has ranked in the league's top three in scoring in each of the last four seasons, finishing first three times in that stretch thanks to a fast-paced offense that often left the team vulnerable defensively.

General manager Steve Kerr has made major changes over the last year to help the Suns strike a better balance, includi

WOW look at those Miwaukee Bucks..Their great bench is finally starting to mesh with their starters and Michael Redd is looking a lot more comfortable with less pressure on him..I'm looking forward to making some money on this when Utah visits Milwaukee on the 23rd..Just hope the spread isn't too narrow..Maybe even a SU win for the Bucks.. GET THIS !! They are 19 for 28 Wins ATS (68%)...and 7 WINS ATS in their L10..Its their bench thats doing it... Waydda go Clippers you only lost by 24 tonight.... HMMM wonder if the CRAPtors can finally make us some money when they visit LAC on Monday ?!?!(............nahhh, I'll probably stick with the UNDER on that one, whatever it is..)

Today was a great day, as both Baltimore and Arizona come through for me to make it a 6-2-1 day. I hit Dmon's Cornell play, but I can't take credit for that, but it did help pad the stats. I hope everyone had a good night, and you should lock in New England now while it's still at (-7), b/c it will go up closer to kickoff tomorrow. I just did.

Well well, vox looks like your bullet of the year was a blank.. I had a feeling about your large spread betting would come back to bite you on da azz.. What so hard to understand these teams dont care about the spread( specially college) they just want the W.. I am starting to think your becoming a compulsive capper luke this happy go lucky guy, yesterday told me he would bet theHouse on lakersss to win ( and i'm a LA fan) but if your willing to bet your house on a bet you need help.. Why you would put yor credibility on the line and post life, beats me maybe u thought 30 was easy to cover.. Yea u need a break come back when your betting with your thinking cap..

IN MY OPINION, Tonight is one of the few situations where a parlay CAN be a good bet. First off I like the under more than the over in this one AND I am very confident in Dallas winning...but 6 points is iffy. With two strong defensive teams points are at a premium and can actually save your bet. 2 game Teaser Dallas +0.5 & Under 45 I rarely do this but I am confident it is the best bet tonight + I think it will be the Dallas defense that puts on a show tonight. Good luck to ALL
