The Los Angeles Lakers are a half-game behind the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with five games to play.

The Lakers are now -145 to miss the playoffs and +125 to make it at the Las Vegas Hotel SuperBook

Four of the Lakers' final five games are at Staples Center, where Los Angeles is 25-12 SU (straight up) this season. Their only road game is Wednesday in Portland. Utah has four games remaining and finishes the campaign on the road in Minnesota and Memphis.

Lakers G Steve Nash (hip spasm) has missed the last three games and is questionable Tuesday vs. the Hornets. Nevada-based oddsmaking service, The Sports Club, sent out a suggested spread of Lakers -9 with a total of 198.
