Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun has been suspended by Major League Baseball for the rest of the 2013 season for PED use.

Braun said in a statement, as reported by CBSSports.com: "I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of (my) actions."

Braun, the 2011 NL MVP, had hit .298 with nine homers and 38 RBIs on the season prior to being suspended.

We asked Steve Mikkelson, sportsbook manager at the Atlantis Reno, how much the suspension would effect Milwaukee moneylines.

"This is a guy who is a potential MVP candidate," says Mikkelson. "The Brewers really don't have any pitching and to pull that bat out of the lineup would be devastating. If they lose Braun, without question, you're probably knocking 10 cents off the line."
