The second major championship of the season is finally here, with the golf universe heading to Valhalla Golf Club for the PGA Championship.

Scottie Scheffler's status atop the PGA Championship odds board is well-established, but there has been movement below him considering Rory McIlroy's won each of his last two starts and Brooks Koepka won last time out at LIV Golf Singapore.

With the best golfers in the world getting hot at the right time, let's take a look at where the key favorites stand on Monday.

2024 PGA Championship odds

2024 PGA Championship odds analysis

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+400) has held down this top spot for nearly three months and was a runaway favorite before Rory McIlroy (+700) closed that gap with back-to-back wins.

The No. 3 slot has provided the other notable shift. It's been occupied by Jon Rahm (now +1,600) for much of 2024 but was recently overtaken by Brooks Koepka (+1,200), who's entering the week with momentum after winning LIV Golf Singapore two weeks ago.

Scottie Scheffler odds

The consensus betting favorite and World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler is playing the best golf of his career.

He's won four of his last five starts in a run that includes his second Masters victory and his odds to win this week have plummeted as a result. He began that run in the +800 range; that price has been cut in half as of Monday morning.

He's yet to win the PGA Championship but has T2, T4, and T8 finishes in four career tries. And considering he's gained strokes putting in five straight starts and has an unmatched tee-to-green game, this could very well be his week.

Rory McIlroy odds

Rory McIlroy's major championship drought has reached a decade but might the stars be aligning for the World No. 2 this week?

The last time the PGA came to Valhalla, Rory won in what was a third straight victory. He's entering the 2024 edition in a similar spot after carrying Shane Lowry at the Zurich Classic and dominating at Quail Hollow over the weekend.

He remains in the No. 2 spot this week, but as he was crushing Xander Schauffele in the final round of the Wells Fargo on Sunday, his odds were dropping from +1,200 to as short as +700, where they've settled to begin the week.

Brooks Koepka odds

Brooks Koepka's history at the majors and particularly the PGA Championship is well-documented but when you pair that with a win in Singapore two weeks ago, it's not shocking to see him rising up the board.

In addition to his three career PGA Championship victories, the defending champion has a runner-up (2021) and four other Top-15 finishes, among those a T15 at Valhalla here in 2014.

He's lingered in the +1,800 to +2,200 range for much of the year but has pushed himself into the Top 3 over the last few weeks with odds as short as +1,200.

Tiger Woods odds

While Tiger Woods made the cut at Augusta, he also lost strokes putting, on approach, and off the tee. He also won't have the benefit of that valuable course experience here at Valhalla.

And if you take away a runner-up finish in 2018, Tiger's resume here at the PGA Championship has been quite shaky since 2010 with just one other finish better than T28 and a missed cut at Valhalla in 2014.

All that to say: those +20,000 outright odds aren't treating Tiger as a threat and neither should you.
