Mondays are usually an off day in the WNBA bubble but not this week.

Three games are on the WNBA betting board today and the pressure is mounting with a third of the 22-game 2020 schedule already gone by.

We size up today’s odds and give our best WNBA free picks and predictions for August 10.

WNBA picks for today

Phoenix Mercury vs Dallas Wings

The Mercury were one of the strongest teams out of the gate to start the season but have watched their first-half firepower dwindle in recent games.

Phoenix, which was posting 47.5 points in the opening 20 minutes in the first half of its first four games, managed just 33 first-half points versus Atlanta on August 4 and most recently scored a measly 22-points in the first two quarters of Saturday’s loss to Seattle.

To add to that, veteran guard Diana Taurasi is sidelined with a hip/back injury and backcourt mate Bria Hartley is questionable after sitting out the past two games with a foot injury. Those two combine for more than 38 points per game – about 43 percent of the Mercury’s total scoring production.

Dallas has been inconsistent on offense in the “Wubble” but has been stronger in the opening half, posting 41.3 points in that span. We like the Wings to keep it close in the opening 20 minutes Monday.

PREDICTION: Dallas first half +2.5 (-110)

Chicago Sky vs Seattle Storm

This is a possible WNBA Finals preview, with the Storm holding a 6-1 SU record and the Sky behind them at 5-2 SU.

Chicago likes to get to the rim, attempting 21.1 shots per game from inside of five feet, knocking down almost 72 percent of those close looks. The Sky boast more than 35 points in the paint per game but run into a Seattle defense that locks up the key and doesn’t allow many easy buckets.

The Storm give up a WNBA-low 28 points in the paint per game while holding foes to just 13.7 field goal attempts inside of five feet per contest. They block four shots per game while getting whistled for just under 18 personal fouls a night.

Chicago’s defense is nowhere near this stingy, giving up a league-high 88.5 points per game over its last four outings. Even with Sue Bird still on the sideline for the Storm, we’re siding with the dominant defense in this one.

PREDICTION: Seattle -4.5 (-110)

Sunday's record: 0-2
Season record: 13-16
