Two of the league's most lethal guards take the court tonight, and they're the focus of our favorite WNBA player props.

Three teams in playoff position take the court tonight in WNBA action, and all three are taking on teams that have struggled throughout the season.

As a result, my WNBA player props are backing three players set to take advantage of favorable matchups, including All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, who will need to do even more for the Indiana Fever with Caitlin Clark sidelined.

My WNBA picks for Thursday, July 9, also focus on Angel Reese and Jackie Young.

Top WNBA player prop bets for today

Player Pick Odds
Dream Angel Reese Over 11.5 rebounds +105
Fever Kelsey Mitchell Over 23.5 points -106
Aces Jackie Young Over 24.5 points + assists -110

Angel Reese Over 11.5 rebounds (+105)

It's rare to see the Over on Angel Reese rebounds at plus-money, which is why I'm jumping at the chance to bet it.

While 12+ rebounds is a tall task, it's become routine for Reese, who's already one of the greatest rebounders in WNBA history. She leads the league in RPG for a third straight season (11.8), and the Seattle Storm don't match up well with her.

Seattle sits last in the league in offensive rebound rate (26.9%), second-to-last in defensive rebound rate (66%), and allows the second-most RPG to opponents (36.4). Meanwhile, Reese is No. 1 in the WNBA in offensive rebound rate by a mile (20.1%) and No. 2 in overall rebound rate (23.6%).

The Atlanta Dream big has pulled down 12+ rebounds in four of her last five, which is why I would take the Over at any price better than -115.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 23.5 points (-106)

With Caitlin Clark out tonight, it will be the Kelsey Mitchell show for the Indiana Fever. The four-time All-Star has been the W's most lethal scoring guard this season, averaging 22.2 PPG and sitting No. 3 in the WNBA in offensive win shares (2.5).

And with Clark out, who's No. 2 in the league in usage rate (32.3%), Mitchell will have even more opportunities against a Phoenix Mercury defense that's bottom five in rating (107.3) and surrenders the highest 3-point rate in the league (39.9%).

Mitchell has eclipsed 23.5 points in six of her last eight, averaging 25.4 PPG during that stretch, which includes 27 points in the last game Clark missed.

Since Mitchell should see even more work tonight, I would take the Over on her points at a price as short as -120.

Jackie Young Over 24.5 points + assists

A'ja Wilson hasn't played since June 28 due to a lower body injury, and with her status up in the air tonight, Jackie Young is a good option to target.

If Wilson plays, Young will be in a better position to pick up assists and get open looks on the perimeter. If Wilson doesn't suit up, the Las Vegas Aces will lean heavily on Young to carry the offense — she's second on the team in usage rate (23.3%) and offensive win shares (1.8) after Wilson.

Regardless of whether Wilson is out there, Young can exploit a Portland Fire defense that ranks among the worst in the WNBA. The Fire have the second-worst defensive rating in the league (112.6) and allow the third-highest field-goal percentage (46.5%).

Young has topped 24.5 points and assists in 12 of her last 15 games, including against the Fire in June. With the Aces recently cutting Chennedy Carter, they'll need even more out of Young going forward to make up for their short bench.
