Jannik Sinner was a heavy -340 betting favorite in the 2026 French Open odds, but he was sent packing in the second round by unseeded Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

The stunning upset has shaken up the betting in a major way, and it's somewhat opened up the path for Novak Djokovic to secure his 25th career grand slam title.

Let's take a look at the latest Novak Djokovic French Open odds.

Novak Djokovic French Open odds following Jannik Sinner defeat

Novak Djokovic is now a +400 second-choice in the French Open odds following Jannik Sinner's historic upset loss on Thursday. Djokovic entered Roland Garros at over +1000 to win the tournament despite Carlos Alcaraz bowing out due to injury.

Sinner was seen as head-and-shoulders above the competition given the stellar season he was having, including his becoming the first player to ever win five consecutive Masters 1000 titles

He jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Juan Manuel Cerundolo in their second-round matchup but was unable to seal the deal due to apparent heat exhaustion.

Djokovic, meanwhile, has advanced to the third round, where he'll meet Joao Fonseca.

Djokovic dropped a set in each of his first two matchups, so he isn't exactly off to a dominant start. However, the 39-year-old's reputation as the ultimate gamer precedes him as he seeks an unprecedented 25th career grand slam title.

"Joker" made it to the Finals at the 2026 Australian Open (won by Alcaraz) but hasn't done much else this year, losing in Round 4 at Indian Wells, and Round 1 at the Italian Open.

He'll have to make it past favored Alexander Zverev just to get to the finals. Zverev, who hasn't dropped a set through two matchups at Roland Garros, is currently ranked No. 2 in the world despite never winning a major.

Other French Open contenders

The top half of the bracket has opened up big time with Sinner out. Let's take a look at who Djokovic could face in the final round, if he makes it that far.

Ben Shelton (+2200 at DraftKings)

Ben Shelton has won five ATP Tour singles titles in his career, two on clay, including the 2026 BMW Open in Munich.

He won his opening-round matchup of the French Open in straight sets over Daniel Meridia Aguilar.

Felix Auger Aliassime (+3000 at DraftKings)

Felix Auger Aliassime is the highest-ranked seed (No. 4) left standing at the top of the bracket, but he needed five sets to dispatch his opening opponent, Daniel Altmaier.

His 2026 form has regressed since taking the Open Occitanie in February, as he hasn't made it past the third round in three straight tournaments.

Juan Manuel Cerundolo (+20000 at DraftKings)

If you're thinking that Juan Manuel Cerundolo is going to go on a winning streak for the ages, you might want to think again,

The 24-year-old Argentinian is 30-42 all-time with just one ATP Tour singles title (2021 Córdoba Open) to his name. Cerundolo is currently the No. 54-ranked player in the world.
