The Dallas Stars halted their five-game slide last time out and look to begin a winning streak as they kick off a four-game homestand Monday against the Ottawa Senators. Dallas averaged 1.4 goals while going 0-4-1 before skating to a 4-1 victory in Philadelphia on Saturday despite being outshot 39-16.

Corey Perry scored a goal and set up two others in his third game with the Stars, who netted at least three tallies for just the third time in 10 contests this campaign. The 34-year-old former Hart and Maurice Richard Trophy winner, who signed a one-year contract in July after spending the first 14 seasons of his career with Anaheim, missed Dallas' first seven contests of 2019-20 with a broken foot before making his team debut in Wednesday's loss at Columbus. Ottawa is aiming to snap a three-game slide as it concludes its three-game road trip after falling 5-2 in Arizona on Saturday. Vladislav Namestnikov recorded his team-leading third goal and Chris Tierney netted the first power-play tally of the season for the Senators, who have scored a total of four goals during their skid after registering the same amount in each of their previous two contests.

ABOUT THE SENATORS (1-5-1): Namestnikov, whose goal against the Coyotes was Ottawa's second short-hander of the season, has notched five points in as many games since being acquired from the New York Rangers on Oct. 7. The 26-year-old Russian center was kept off the scoresheet in two contests with the Rangers prior to the deal but netted a career-high 22 tallies while splitting the 2017-18 campaign between Tampa Bay and New York. Connor Brown, who was obtained from Toronto in July, is tied for the team lead with five points but has yet to score a goal.

ABOUT THE STARS (2-7-1): Roope Hintz has scored a team-leading six goals in 10 games after recording nine in 58 contests as a rookie last season. The 22-year-old Finnish forward has tallied in back-to-back outings after enduring a four-game drought. Esa Lindell cashed in on a power-play opportunity against the Flyers after Dallas had gone 1-for-25 with the man advantage over its first nine contests of 2019-20.

OVERTIME

1. Ottawa C Artem Anisimov, who recorded one goal in four games after being acquired from Chicago in July, has missed three straight contests with a lower-body injury.

2. The Stars entered Sunday 28th in the league on the power play (2-for-27) while the Senators rank last at 4.3 percent.
