Gio Urshela and Kyle Higashioka both homered twice, and Cameron Maybin added one as the visiting New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles 14-2 on Wednesday night.

New York completed a sweep of the three-game series and stretched its winning streak to eight games. The Yankees hit 16 homers in the three games, and they set a major league record for home runs in a season against one opponent with 52. The two teams still have four more meetings this season, next week at Yankee Stadium.

The Orioles have given up a big-league-high 234 long balls in 2019.

New York ended the season with 43 homers at Camden Yards, another major league record for a team at an opposing ballpark. New York has won 15 straight games in Baltimore, a Yankees record for most consecutive road wins against another team.

Higashioka finished with five RBIs. Urshela had three hits, three runs and four RBIs.

The Orioles have given up at least two homers in a game for the last 12 contests, an ongoing major league record.

New York's James Paxton (7-6) earned the win by throwing 6 2/3 strong innings. He gave up one run on five hits and a walk while striking out seven.

Baltimore starter John Means (8-7) allowed four runs in 3 2/3 innings in his first start back from the injured list. He had been sidelined since July 25 due to a biceps strain.

New York took control when it scored the game's first four runs in the fourth inning. Maybin got an RBI single that fell between center fielder Stevie Wilkerson and right fielder Trey Mancini, who appeared to have their signals crossed on the play.

Two batters later, Higashioka belted a three-shot that gave the Yankees a 4-0 lead. Mancini made it 4-1 with a homer in the bottom of the fourth before Urshela added a two-run homer in the fifth.

DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Judge both had RBI singles in the sixth before Urshela hit his second homer of the night, a two-run blast that made it 10-1. Brett Gardner added the fifth run of the inning when he grounded into a forceout.

Maybin homered leading off the ninth, and Higashioka added a two-run homer later that inning.

Orioles first baseman Chris Davis and manager Brandon Hyde had a disagreement in the dugout in the middle of the fifth inning, and Davis needed to be restrained. Hyde then sent up a pinch hitter for Davis.

After the game, Hyde said the team was keeping details of the incident private.
