Posted this in another thread but thought I would add it here for food for thought and perhaps something to keep an eye on in this series. Everyone seems to forget Kesler left that game with what is now known to be a groin injury. I have zero doubts he had it frozen before coming back to tie the game up. If anybody can play through a groin injury this guy can due to his large heart and competitive nature but if it goes it goes and freezing won't matter. Right now it's a strain but groin injuries as any athlete can tell you nag and recur as much or more than any other injury.
Hopefully for people betting this, the Canucks and Kesler himself he does not go out and tweak that groin he injured in game 5 against San Jose. Word is it is the same groin he injured a few seasons ago which sidelined him for a while. https://www.canada.com/vancouversun/story.html?id=5ac61048-829b-48c2-ad17-49c2625c6755&k=61594 <That one.
Here is the latest news on Mr. Kesler. He has only practiced once since that game 5 but apparently looked good the one time he did Saturday. https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=prov-ca-4864503
