Why not just take the +2? Why lose both bets? I can somehow understand it when the line is +8 and you think they win outright, then why not take both. But +2?

Slow and steady wins the race, especially when you're hitting 60%
If you had seen his results in college hoops, you would know that he is not risking half his season total. He had a 10K day when he wasn't up nearly what he is in the NBA at the time of those plays.
