Our best NHL player props for Tuesday, October 28
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Owen Tippett Over 2.5 shots on goal
The Pittsburgh Penguins are playing the second leg of a back-to-back set and have allowed the fourth-most shots per game while ranking 27th in Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5, so this sets up as a soft matchup for Philadelphia Flyers winger Owen Tippett.
He’s recorded three or more shots in four of his past six games, skates in a top offensive role, and paces Philly in both shots (25) and attempts (44) through nine games.
- Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: ESPN, Sportsnet One
Prop #2: Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots on goal
Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard has 19 shots and 28 attempts across his past four games while logging a monster 23:42 of ice time per night, including 3:53 with the man advantage.
This is a nice home matchup, too.
The Ottawa Senators are playing for the second consecutive night, and they’ve allowed a healthy 29 shots per game on the road to start the year.
- Time: 8:45 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: ESPN+, TSN5
Prop #3: Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 shots on goal
Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard has recorded three or more shots in seven of 10 games and paces his team in the category with 30, in addition to leading the way in attempts (66).
He’s also in the 99th percentile among defensemen in shots on goal to start the year.
The Utah Mammoth have averaged the second-most shorthanded ice time per game (5:03), and Bouchard’s is a go-to shooter on the No. 1 power-play unit while averaging 3:40 of PP time per night.
- Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
