Our best NHL player props for Thursday, March 12
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Rasmus Dahlin Over 0.5 assists
The Buffalo Sabres are rolling, and their captain is playing a huge part. Rasmus Dahlin has compiled 60 points overall, including 47 assists.
He’s already notched eight helpers this month, and the 25-year-old has cashed the Over in four of his last five appearances.
Dahlin just grabbed two assists in Sunday’s huge win over the Lightning, the team that the Sabres are battling for first place in the Atlantic Division. He then set up another three on Tuesday against the Sharks.
Buffalo faces the Capitals tonight, who have allowed 10 goals across their last three contests. Their blue line also just took a hit when they traded longtime defenseman John Carlson.
- Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: MNMT2, MSG-B
Prop #2: Macklin Celebrini anytime goal
Macklin Celebrini is quickly turning into a superstar, sitting fifth in the league with 90 points. He’s also potted 33 goals, which ranks 12th in the NHL.
The Vancouver native cannot be stopped at the moment, finding the back of the net in four straight games. He’ll be looking to make that five tonight, and the chances are high.
The Sharks face the Bruins, who are 28th in SOG allowed and 17th in goals conceded, giving up 3.09 per night.
Celebrini has already scored against Boston this season, and he’s netted 16 in 30 road contests. He’s the engine of this San Jose offense, and Celebrini is scorching hot.
- Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: NBCSCA, NESN
Prop #3: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points
Connor McDavid continues to show why he’s the best player in the world, posting an NHL-best 110 points. He’s on fire right now as well, cashing the Over in three of his last four outings.
The Edmonton Oilers superstar has seven points across four games in March, and just grabbed two points in back-to-back games against the Avalanche and Golden Knights.
The Oilers take on the Stars tonight, and McDavid already has three points against them across two meetings.
Dallas is one of the best defensive teams in the league, with only 2.66 goals allowed. But McDavid is hot, and he’s historically played well against the Stars.
