Our best NHL player props for Thursday, December 4
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Artemi Panarin Over 0.5 assists
Artemi Panarin is a seasoned veteran on this New York Rangers roster at 34 years of age, and he’s still one of their most important players, scoring eight goals with 20 assists in 28 games.
Panarin registered 13 helpers in November, and he’s cashed the Over in assists in three of his last four outings. In fact, during that span, Panarin has six helpers. In his first game in December, Panarin collected two assists against the Dallas Stars.
The Rangers face the Ottawa Senators tonight, and Panarin scored three times and tallied a helper against them last season.

Prop #2: Sam Reinhart anytime goal
Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart is 16th in the league with 14 goals to go along with 10 assists.
Reinhart has scored in four of his last six appearances, most recently netting in Tuesday’s loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Cats are at home this evening against the Nashville Predators, and that’s good news for Reinhart.
The 30-year-old has scored 10 of his goals at Amerant Bank Arena and has already scored against the Preds this season.

- Where to watch: One National or Two local
Prop #3: Nathan MacKinnon Over 3.5 shots on goal
Nathan MacKinnon is a clear-cut favorite to win the Hart if he keeps up his dominant play. The Colorado Avalanche captain leads the league in points (46) and goals (22). He’s also first in the NHL in shots on goal, which is my focus here.
The superstar averages 4.35 shots on target per contest, and he’s cashed the Over in five consecutive games. Last time out, MacKinnon scored twice and had six SOG against the Vancouver Canucks. A few days before that? Another six, and three more points in a win over the Montreal Canadiens.
MacKinnon is unstoppable, and tonight’s opponent, the New York Islanders, won’t slow him down.
