Our best NHL player props for Saturday, November 8
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Auston Matthews anytime goal
The Toronto Maple Leafs started 3-4-1 but have seemed to turn a corner over the past two weeks, going 5-1-0 in their last six games.
Auston Matthews has looked a lot more dangerous during his team’s recent run, finding the back of the net in three straight outings.
Matthews has also fired 4+ shots on net in four of his last five outings, which is a lot more in line with what we’ve come to expect from one of the NHL’s most lethal scorers.
We all know about the Leafs’ playoff demons in Beantown, but the Boston Bruins are not the same team anymore. This new-look version team ranks 24th in goals against per game (3.41) and, despite their current five-game win streak, won't contain the Maple Leafs captain.

Prop #2: Mikko Rantanen Over 1.5 points
After a somewhat slow start to his Dallas Stars career last year following a pair of mid-season trades, Mikko Rantanen has finally settled in.
The big Finn has a team-leading 20 points in 14 games and is currently riding a three-game multi-point streak. Rantanen has found the score sheet in 12 of 14 games this season, and he’ll find it at least a couple more times today vs. a weak Nashville Predators team.
The Preds rank 26th in goals against per game (3.38) and have lost six of their last seven.

Prop #3: Nikolaj Ehlers Over 2.5 shots on goal
Nikolaj Ehlers has not had the hottest start to his Carolina Hurricanes career, with just two goals and six points in 13 games, but it’s certainly not for lack of trying.
The speedy winger has 38 shots in 13 games, the second most on the team behind only Seth Jarvis (46).
Ehlers has recorded multiple shots on target in 10 of 13 games and has been even more active over his last three, with 4+ shots in each.
The Buffalo Sabres have been porous defensively and will only get worse with captain Rasmus Dahlin taking a leave of absence. Buffalo ranks third-last in shots against per game (31.2), so Ehlers easily gets at least three pucks on net.
