Our best NHL player props for Saturday, November 1
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots on goal
The late-night window of Saturday’s NHL slate features the Edmonton Oilers hosting the Chicago Blackhawks. With the amount of firepower coming at Chicago, the Hawks will likely lean on their biggest star to create scoring chances on the other end of the ice.
Connor Bedard has focused on developing his playmaking in his first few years with Chicago, but coach Jeff Blashill has instilled in Bedard the importance of relying on the shot that made him a generational prospect. Bedard has listened, recording three or more shots on goal in each of his past six games.
He’s likely to keep firing against Edmonton, a team against which he recorded three shots on goal in their last meeting.

Prop #2: Adam Fox Under 0.5 points
The other late game on Saturday features the Seattle Kraken hosting the New York Rangers. Defenseman Adam Fox has failed to record a point in six of his past nine games, a trend that could continue against Seattle.
The Kraken are one of the best defensive teams in hockey, ranking first in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60). They limit high-danger scoring chances at a strong rate, which has made goaltender Joey Daccord’s job much easier.
Through eight starts, Daccord is 5-1-2 with a .905 save percentage (SV%) and 2.68 goals-against average (GAA).

Prop #3: Chandler Stephenson Under 0.5 points
As strong as Seattle is defensively, the team is equally poor offensively. Entering this matchup, the Kraken rank last in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60).
With elite defense but limited scoring ability, many of Seattle’s games turn into slow, grinding contests with few scoring chances either way. One of the players contributing to that trend is forward Chandler Stephenson, who has failed to record a point in each of the past four games.
That trend is likely to continue against New York, a team that ranks eighth in xGA/60. Backing up that strong defense is goaltender Igor Shesterkin, who enters this matchup as the Vezina Trophy betting favorite.
