Our best NHL player props for Monday, November 24

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Alex Ovechkin anytime goalscorer

+120 at BET99

The Washington Capitals host the Columbus Blue Jackets in a Metropolitan Division tilt to kick off Monday’s slate. Washington forward Alex Ovechkin has found his rhythm, scoring seven goals over the past seven games.

That success is likely to continue against Columbus, which is arguably the worst defensive team in hockey. The Jackets rank 22nd in goals allowed per game, largely because of their inability to suppress high-danger scoring chances.

Entering this matchup, Columbus ranks second-to-last in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).

Prop #2: Brad Marchand anytime goalscorer

+170 at BET99

Like Columbus, the Nashville Predators have also struggled defensively. This season, the Predators rank 22nd in xGA/60.

Those defensive woes are likely to continue Monday as Nashville hosts the Florida Panthers. Specifically, Florida forward Brad Marchand is likely to exploit this weak defense. Marchand has scored 10 goals over his past 12 games.

Prop #3: Anton Lundell Over 0.5 assists

+120 at BET99

Sticking with the same game, there is a strong correlation between Marchand scoring a goal and Anton Lundell recording an assist. He skates alongside Marchand on both the first line and the first power-play unit.

Subsequently, Lundell has assisted on two of Marchand’s past four goals. Not that the assist must come on a Marchand goal, given that Lundell has recorded five assists over the past five games.

Meanwhile, goaltender Juuse Saros is projected to start between the pipes for Nashville. Struggling behind this weak defense, Saros is 6-8-3 with a .896 save percentage.
