Our best NHL player props for Friday, December 5
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Rasmus Dahlin Over 2.5 shots on goal
Buffalo Sabres star Rasmus Dahlin has registered three or more shots in six of his past nine games for 24 total on 49 attempts.
His possession numbers have been elite, too. Dahlin sports a 57.8 Corsi For percentage and 61.7% shot share during the run, and he also quarterbacks the No. 1 power-play.
It's a favorable matchup as well. The Winnipeg Jets have allowed the 10th-most shots per game, including the second-most per to opposing defensemen, and they’ve also been a mess in the possession game at 5-on-5 with a 28th-ranked CF% and 29th-ranked shot share.

Prop #2: Noah Hanifin Over 1.5 shots on goal
Since New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes (finger) has been out, the club has middling 5-on-5 possession numbers with a 49.3 Corsi For percentage and 48.7% shot share while also allowing the 10th-most shots per game (29.7).
The Devils have also allowed the seventh-most shots per game to opposing defensemen for the campaign. So, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Noah Hanifin has my attention.
Hanifin has recorded two or more shots in 11 of 15 games since returning from injury. The go-to defender sports a high-end 56.5 CF% and 59.4% shot share at 5-on-5, and he logs a hefty 23:13 of ice time per night while lining up for 63.7% of faceoffs in the offensive zone during the stretch, too.

Prop #3: Mikhail Sergachev Over 1.5 shots on goal
Utah Mammoth defenseman Mikhail Sergachev has recorded two or more shots in nine of his past 12 games for 33 total on 63 attempts.
He’s logged a monster 24:20 of ice time during the stretch and quarterbacks the No. 1 power-play unit while also tilting the ice in his favor at 5-on-5 with a 54.0 Corsi For percentage and 53.8% shot share.
Of course, this matchup also checks out. The Vancouver Canucks have allowed the seventh-most shots per game (30.2) while also sporting a 29th-ranked CF% and 31st ranked shot share at 5-on-5.
