The Toronto Maple Leafs are locked into the second spot in the Atlantic Division, 26 points behind the record-breaking Bruins. That's also nine points clear of the Lightning, the team they'll face off against in the first round of the playoffs.
Toronto is locked into its playoff position for the first round, so will it be as hungry in this road game? It’s doubtful, actually. Meanwhile, the Florida Panthers are red-hot and playing desperate hockey, as every goal and every point matters.
The Panthers have won six straight games, and they kicked off the win streak with a 3-2 OT win in Toronto back on March 29.
Alex Lyon has been on fire, subbing for Sergei Bobrovsky, who has been dealing with a non-COVID illness. Will the Panthers go back to Bob, or stick with the red-hot Lyon?
The Panthers have outscored the competition by a 28-9 margin during the six-game run, and Lyon has benefitted from some amazing offensive support.
Whether it’s Bobrovsky or Lyon in the crease, it’s likely Florida is able to keep up the good work and win its penultimate game in the regular season, staying alive for a Wild Card spot.
The Maple Leafs are 2-8 in the past 10 trips to Florida, although one of those wins came on the most recent trip. Still, Florida has a ton to play for and will get a valuable two points Monday.

The Maple Leafs have alternated wins and losses in the past 11 games and have been spinning its wheels a little bit. They picked up a 7-1 win over Montreal last time out but are just 2-2-2 in their past six games against teams still in the postseason chase and just 1-4 in the past five after allowing two or fever goals in the previous game.
On the flip side, the Panthers have won six in a row and have cashed in eight of the past 10 games against Toronto on home ice.
Back the Panthers, who are hungry for two more points, as they try to get back to the postseason.

The Leafs have cashed the Under in five of the past seven games overall. They've also had a case of the Mondays, cashing the Under at a 5-1-1 clip in the past seven games on the first day of the work week.
While the Over is 7-2-1 in the past 10 meetings with the Panthers and 4-1 in the past five trips to Florida, the Under has cashed in two of the three regular-season battles in 2022-23.
For Florida, the Under is 3-1-4 in the past eight games overall, while going 8-2-1 in the past 11 games against winning teams.
