The Winnipeg Jets visit the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center in a standalone game on the ice this Tuesday, May 13.

Dallas holds a 2-1 series lead and can pull close to advancing to the Western Conference Final with a win over Winnipeg tonight.

My top Jets vs. Stars props and NHL picks for Game 4 believe Mikko Rantanen will help them get there.

Best Jets vs Stars props

  • Stars Rantanen o2.5 SOG (-120)
  • Jets Hellebuyck o23.5 saves (+100)
  • Jets Perfetti o1.5 SOG (-120)

Jets vs Stars player props for May 13

Mikko Rantanen Over 2.5 shots on goal (-120 at Bet99)

Dallas Stars winger Mikko Rantanen has catapulted himself into being the betting favorite in the Conn Smythe odds with a historic start to the postseason. He’s only recorded three shots across the past two games against the Winnipeg Jets despite registering nine attempts, though, so I’m expecting his shooting efficiency to correct itself on Tuesday.

After all, Rantanen collected three or more shots in six of his first eight playoff games, and he ranks in the 97th percentile of shots on goal among forwards this postseason.

Connor Hellebuyck Over 23.5 saves (+100 at Bet99)

The numbers speak for themselves, and there’s no sugarcoating Winnipeg Jets star Connor Hellebuyck’s postseason play. His -9.71 goals saved above expected is the worst this postseason, and his .848 save percentage is astronomically below his .925 mark during the regular season.

I also value the Dallas Stars driving 5-on-5 possession to start this series with a 52.0 Corsi For percentage and 55.1% shot share, in addition to Winnipeg lacking the top-to-bottom depth to suppress the Dallas offensive attack through an entire 60 minutes.

Hellebuyck is going to see the shot volume, and he’s too talented to continue playing so poorly. Plus, he did just shut out the Stars in Game 2.

Cole Perfetti Over 1.5 shots on goal (-120 at Bet99)

Winnipeg Jets winger Cole Perfetti has two or more shots in seven of 10 postseason games, including two on four attempts against the Dallas Stars in Game 4. His 22 shots also rank second on the club in the playoffs, and Perfetti ranks in the 88th percentile of forwards in shots on goal.

Perfetti has also upped both his shots (7.75) and attempts (14.8) per 60 minutes during the playoffs compared to his respective 6.84 and 13.68 regular-season marks, and he’s sporting a high-end 56.5 Corsi For percentage and 55.0% shot share at 5-on-5.
