Entain has launched new sportsbook features, many of which are now available across its global markets. The upgrades, which include localised features for some regions, are part of the company’s ongoing investment in its core technology stack.

Key Takeaways

  • Entain customers can now access new and improved features via its apps and websites

  • Upgrades include faster withdrawal options and next-generation BetBuilder tools

  • The news comes following strong financial results for the company

Global sports betting giant Entain has unveiled a number of new features, which are to be rolled out as part of its ongoing product innovation strategy.

Customers in the U.K., U.S. and Brazil will soon be able to access next-generation BetBuilder tools, live same-game parlays and app performance enhancements. Upgrades also include faster withdrawal options and localised features, tailored to specific markets.

The updates are evidence of Entain’s ongoing investment in its core technology stack. This tech, which is built around the four pillars of sports, gaming, marketing and player account management, powers Entain brands all over the world.

Entain launches new In-Play BetBuilder

The release of the company’s Next-Generation BetBuilder has already led to an 80% increase in pre-match turnover, and the doubling of Entain’s turnover share to 12%.

Now, the company is said to be building on that success with the launch of a new In-Play BetBuilder, powered by Opta data. It’ll enable customers to build their own in-play bets as the action unfolds.

Ladbrokes and Coral customers can now make use of Quacca Bar, a new app feature giving players the option to build, edit and place multiples without leaving the app. Entain reports that 60% of bets are now placed using this feature.

Site and app performance have also been a focus of the company’s investment in new technology. As a result, withdrawal processing times have been cut to below one minute in 90% of cases.

Live same-game parlays for US customers

U.S. customers can now access live same-game parlays through BetMGM. Parlays are already available for MLB and NFL. Entain has said that NBA options will soon follow.

Customers will also be able to use BetMGM’s new and improved app to place bets, with its owner calling the app its “most responsive yet.” New features include real-time bet tracking for iOS users, as well as in-app research tools and cash-out functionality during games.

The rollout of new localised features has begun, too. In Brazil, Entain launched Fantasy Markets, AccaBoost, in-play football BetBuilder and Stats Pro, a new stats hub where players can access in-depth insights along with live tracking information on all bets placed.

Satty Bhens: “Sportsbook has never been stronger”

News of Entain’s continued investment comes following robust financial results for the company in the first half of this year.

Results in Q1 were better than expected, with some particularly strong online performances. In Q2, Entain built on that success with 7% revenue growth, which included a 35% year-over-year spike for BetMGM.

“Our Sportsbook product has never been stronger. We’ve closed the gap and are now pivoting from catching up to going beyond,” said Satty Bhens, Chief Technology Officer at Entain.

“From live single-game parlays in the US to in-play BetBuilders in Europe and Brazil, we’re upgrading player experiences while modernising our trading back office. This is just the beginning of what we can achieve as we continue to lead the industry in product innovation.”
