DraftKings Sportsbook hit a milestone Tuesday night after an unfortunate Victor Wembanyama injury forced the superstar to miss much of Game 2 of the San Antonio Spurs' first-round series in the NBA playoffs.

Key Takeaways

  • DraftKings' Early Exit policy has saved one million customers and 25 million parlay legs since launching in 2025.

  • Wembanyama’s Game 2 injury pushed the policy past the seven-figure threshold.

  • The promotion has led to notable payouts, including one $50 parlay becoming nearly $68,000.

DraftKings shared that the Early Exit policy, which refunds or voids bets when a player is injured early on and does not return, has saved one million customers in addition to 25 million parlay legs since its introduction in mid-2025.

To mark the milestone, DraftKings shared it would be awarding 10 $500 bonus bets to select followers who shared their most memorable Early Exit wagers.

Among the most notable beneficiaries was one NFL bettor who turned an improbable $50, 20-leg parlay into nearly $68,000 in November 2025 following an early exit for the Patriots' Kayshon Boutte.

DraftKings did not disclose how much was refunded on Wembanyama's injury alone.

Wemby's injury major wrinkle in postseason

What the injury could mean to the Frenchman and his team remains unclear.

“We all got to step up,” wing Devin Vassell told reporters Wednesday. “We know what Vic brings to the table, and we’ve played without him a couple of games this year. ... That’s a huge void to fill.”

Among the other notable wounded Spurs, Dylan Harper and Harrison Barnes are both expected to be available for Game 3 despite sustaining bumps and bruisesTuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

San Antonio will need to bring a major effort on defense if they are without Wembanyama, who earned unanimous Defensive Player of the Year honors before Game 2 and became the first player to sweep balloting for the Hakeem Olajuwon Trophy.

Despite losing home-court advantage, the Spurs remain favorites across the board to take Game 3 on the road as well as the series.
