Circa Sports’ $6.9 million Grandissimo NFL survivor competition is over after all six remaining contestants lost on Thursday or Friday.
After three players lost the pool by backing the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, the remaining were knocked out after the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Chicago Bears on Friday.
Key Takeaways
- The holiday underdogs had combined ML odds of +7,765.
- The six remaining Grandissimo players won $1.15m each.
- Circa Survivor lost nearly 95% of its remaining players on Thursday and Friday.
Entering Week 13, the six remaining contestants in the Grandissimo pool all locked in one of two teams: the Baltimore Ravens or Philadelphia Eagles.

FTW Degenerates, Gambleballs and Kujo took the Ravens to knock off the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. Binocollection, Sammy Sadist On Of and The Dream Team chose the Eagles to handle the Chicago Bears in a standalone game on Black Friday.
The Bengals stunned their division rivals 32-14 on Thanksgiving night and the Bears knocked off the defending Super Bowl champs 24-15 on Friday.
Circa treats Thanksgiving and Black Friday as its own week, meaning that the three Eagles backers had the chance to advance a week if they made the correct selection. That would've increased their share of the prize pool significantly.
Instead, Circa Sports confirmed that each of the six players will receive $1.15 million, an impressive 11.5 times the $100,000 they staked to enter the pool.

Survivor players in shambles during the holiday
While Grandissimo is over, Circa Survivor, which has an $18.7 million prize pool, is still alive – but not without casualties.
Contestants had to put up a $1,000 buy-in to enter the pool, making it much more “affordable” than the Grandissimo.
Of the 898 players remaining entering Week 13, 849 chose a losing team from Thursday and Friday’s games. That included 489 (54.3%) of people who chose the Eagles, 269 (29.9%) who supported the Ravens, and 78 (8.7%) who were behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Green Bay Packers (three; 0.3%), Dallas Cowboys (eight; 0.9%) and Bengals (10; 1.1%), all of whom won their games, were the three least-picked teams of the week.
The Bears were the most-picked winner with 28 (3.1%) selections. That means that only 49 of 898 (5.5%) of players who were alive on Thursday morning are still competing for a share of the money.

On the topic of the prize pool, customers entered the week with $20,844 worth of implied value per entry. That figure has swelled more than 18 times its previous amount to $381,998 per person.
An historic run for underdogs
All four teams that won on Thursday and Friday were outright underdogs, according to the sportsbooks.
Using midweek odds from bet365, a parlay with moneylines for the Packers (+135), Cowboys (+155), Bengals (+275) and Bears (+250) would’ve resulted in +7,765 odds. In other terms, a $100 bettor would’ve walked away with $7,765 in winnings based on a 1.3% implied chance of winning.
