LIV Golf Chicago Picks & Odds: Rahm Still Searching for Victory

For as consistent as Jon Rahm has been this season, he's still without a win in 2025. Might he break through in Chicago after winning here a year ago?

LIV Golf Chicago picks and predictions

Outright pick: Jon Rahm
+600 at FanDuel

The defending LIV Chicago champion continues to contend with a T5 and a solo-second in his past two LIV Golf events, and Jon Rahm ranks Top 10 in all five key true strokes gained metrics this season.

I particularly value Rahm ranking second in both true strokes gained tee-to-green and birdie average. With 15 worldwide Top 10s since winning at Bolingbrook last September, the Spaniard's ripe for his third career LIV Golf victory this week.

Matchup pick: Paul Casey over Cameron Tringale
-105 at bet365

Paul Casey has beaten Cameron Tringale in three of the past four LIV Golf events, and the Englishman also topped the American in last year’s Chicago event.

I also value Casey’s ball-striking trending in the right direction during the highlighted four-event stretch. He ranks 12th in this field in true strokes gained tee-to-green and seventh on approach, while Tringale ranks 34th and 36th, respectively.

Finishing position pick: Joaquin Niemann Round 1 Top 10
+110 at bet365

The Chilean finished T2 here last year and heads back to Bolingbrook following his seventh LIV Golf victory. Joaquin Niemann has gained true strokes across the board this season, including ranking third in tee-to-green play, first on approach, and 12th in putting in this week’s field.

Add leading LIV Golf in birdie average while ranking second in both driving distance and greens-in-regulation percentage, and there aren’t any holes in Niemann’s game.

LIV Golf Chicago field and favorites

The top of this odds board is as you'd expect, with Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau co-favorites at +500 apiece.

Rahm has yet to win this season but hasn't finished worse than T11 in his 11 LIV starts, and that includes a T5 at the UK event last time out. Bryson's results have been a little more volatile, but he's been excellent in the majors and used three straight sub-70 rounds to finish T11 at the UK event.

Joaquin Niemann (+750) remains the third choice despite being by far the winningest of these three golfers in 2025. His UK victory marked his fifth (!) LIV win of the season and sixth worldwide victory since the start of December.

Tyrrell Hatton is the only other choice with odds shorter than 20/1 (+1000). He finished T4 and T16 in the last two majors of the season and is coming off a T21 result in England last time out.
