So, I am getting these thoughts down, I am writing out loud for this couple of paragraphs, which crystallizes my thinking.

Day games go differently than night games, three games tomorrow are definite day games....

    1)  Dream @Home versus the Storm

    2)  Wings@Home versus the Sun

    3)  Aces@Home versus the Fever

The other game is really neither a night game or a day game, it's at 5pm Central time.

In my database, here are the results of home team weekend day games....

    Saturday    5-10 ATS       3-12 O/U

    Sunday     126-93  ATS   96-120-4 O/U

You'll see that the sides are completely different with Saturday and Sunday day games, home teams have done terribly on Saturday and very well on Sundays.  Trends will often be broken by one of these days, and what transpires on one weekend day will often reverse on the other weekend day.  Saturday is the most common day to break a trend.  Both days, UNDERs have ruled and this year day games have been very much under days, with the exception of last Sunday where everything went OVER, which hurt my bankroll quite badly, when I went 0-4.

I went into this in another thread, it's worth noting what transpired 28 days ago, as that is considered the normal time span of a woman's menstrual cycle and we could maybe extrapolate that a poor performance by a team is indicative of a down time in that team's cycle.

Four Sundays ago, here's what happened.

Home team        line     Visiting team     total

    Wings                 -2'      Storm               172     76-97

    Sparks               -10'     Liberty              150'    80-54

    Fever                 +8'     Sun                   165'    78-87

    Aces                   +7     Lynx                  162'    73-88

    Sky                     +7    Mercury             164'     97-88

Here's who are playing tomorrow, early lines

    Wings                  -4     Sun                   179

    Dream                  +1   Storm                164'

    Aces                     -8'   Fever                 166

Sky               no line    Sparks           no line

Wings got crushed and Sun took care of business versus the Fever, which would indicate an up cycle for the Sun and a down one for the Wings.   Still, could I possibly consider the cratering Sun?  Not likely.....they are on my untouchable list along with the Liberty for probably the rest of the season.

Sky and Sparks look to both be on up cycles.

If anyone else sees anything that I've missed let me know.

Taurasi played less than 15 minutes in her team's loss to the Lynx on Saturday, it doesn't look like she was injured,....what do think the reason of her not playing much would have been?

One month ago, the Mercury hosted the Lynx at home and lost, 73-82, losing to the spread and the game went UNDER,...fast forward to yesterday, they lost 75-80, a not too dissimilar result, yes?

Using cycles to predict results has been around since time immemorial.... ancients used cycles to understand  when to plant crops, when to harvest  and to predict future weather patterns.

I've had access to plenty of people who work in aged care facilities.  They all say without exception, that within 2 days of a full moon that those in patients in dementia wards will become agitated, often pacing frantically in circles.

Research has shown that emergency wards in hospitals become much busier during a full moon.  A moon cycles around us every 27 days, 7 hours.

Everyone knows that tides are predictable by the phases of the moon.

George Bayer and WD Gann made millions in the stock market by studying astronomical cycles and correlating them to price movements, a stock chart is, in essence a barometer of mass psychology.....Beyer predicted the 1929 stock market crash and had a chart of predicted prices in advance on a graph that matched pretty closely what actually transpired.

The use of cycles in underutilized in our game,......early results are looking very promising.

Most men are aware of the changing nature of  the females around them.   What if we knew in advance the occurrences of high performance or excess emotionality would be?

I am taking tomorrow off, a day of rest and all that.

I've provided for you some of those methods I'm starting to use to make predictions of future events.

As always, I'll watch with interest on the effects of past history and cycles affect performance.

As straightwagers alluded to previously teams right before the all-star break tend to play UNDERs.

So, to be sure, I checked it out.

n:rest>6 and HF and not C

We get 9-4 ATS and 5-8 O/U......both Dallas and the Lost Wages Aces fall into that query.  We'll pass on the possibility of playing on an UNDER in the Dallas/Sun game as Dallas never met a shot it didn't like and for the Sun these days defense is an anomaly.

My  lean of  the day is:        Vegas UNDER

The Fever are 9-15 ATS this year, and they're 0-5 ATS after a cover, losing by an average of 72-88 (-910)......I expect it'll be brick city for them tomorrow, as we  have the UNDER tendency in our corner and the fact that Vegas lost their game a month ago by 15 points @home to the Lynx, scoring only 73 points.   I thought about having the Aces as a side lean, but they play much better on the road, they got beat handily a month ago and they're possibly in a down cycle themselves.

Second lean......Teams off a pointspread loss of >8 points along with the outright loss, that are away non-conference favorites their subsequent game on the weekend have been 4-9 ATS and 4-9 straight up.

We'll lean to the Sky to get the outright win versus the Sparks.
