Fed didn't play that well against de Bakker, Benne has easily dispatched both his opponents. He stunned Fed on indoor hard in 2009, and was up 2-0 sets on him at Wimbledon this past year.
Rafa still doesn't look quite right, pulled out of doubles, and may not have as much motivation to play deep into these smaller tourneys, especially one that has courts in piss poor shape like Sao Paulo. Definitely not good conditions for his knees. Berlocq is quite good on the surface, and will be looking to take out the Clay God like Zeballos did.

Man i want to but i'm not up enough to do this. I do sense an upset for Nadal but the question is when, it might be this round or some later round. Upsets just don't happen within such a short duration after the last one.

I am not sorry for what I said ha I dunno how u saw an upset coming from his play, I thought if either was going to lose it would be nadal I am pretty surprised still that he lost but anyway congrats on the win

Nah, no reason to be sorry, the forum is for discussion. I did think Nadal would have had a better shot at going down, and he probably should have. However, outside of the top 4, Benneteau returns Fed's serve better than anybody else. If he could take a 2-0 set lead in Roger's house on Roger's surface (Wimbledon), the potential for an upset in a best of 3 was there. He had already beaten him on the surface before too, when Fed was a superior player.
