I met a bookie once who had lost of gold on his fingers, and lots of dough to throw down on the local card game... After he was wasted we went for a smoke, and all he would tell me is that juice kills. And he was very strong about that point.
Has anyone ever tried betting ONLY dogs ML in all sports, and if so, what were the results? I'll be the first to admit that I like action. And I have for ten years, and now after beating my head against the wall and losing thousands of dollars, I'm trying to go back to my previous betting patterns, and trying to go opposite to my bad habits.
When I settled up recently with my local runner, he told me that his friend who is a big gambler had only bet ML dogs in NHL for the past few months, dime a game and is up over 60k, and I beleive him.
Streaks are going to happen in all sports, but a ML fav streak will make you go broke, while a dog streak will make you rich.
All I have been doing for the past few years is laying wood, and it has gotten me nowhere. Time for a change.
Any input is appreciated, but I don't think anyone can claim with confidence that betting heavy favs will ring profitable in the long term.

You have to stay away from the juice, it will just kill ya. Don't every lay over -140 on a game unless you are parlaying it with something else.
You can't picks dogs blind though, you have to do your research also. If there is any chance at all you see a dog taking a shot a winning the game take it. It's human nature to take the fave, they are supposed to win. But it just doesn't work this way. Hockey and Bases are really what we are talking about there. You have to play them pretty much the same way.
If you do see a medium to big fave, take the -.5 regulation or PL. You can play -1.5 lines in bases also.
