My experiment with posting the night before for Saturday games went drastically wrong. I saw 3 goals come off in the Brentford game which is one I cornered only to have the one result I feared come to fruition. Was a disturbingly bad day after a sublime one the previous time out. I really like the card today so I'm going to post and recover.
BTTS YES AEK ATHENS/LASK (-205) & BTTS YES FC PORTO/MANCHESTER CITY (-155) = +144: This play is a parlay if there is any confusion. I'm going to stop short of making this a big play only because as good as LASK have been scoring they haven't played in the Champions League before so who knows how they come out. But I strongly was backing them to do their part in scoring with Athens at -170 and the line shot up to -205. I just think this game is open and free flowing. As for Man City, the issue isn't them, it's how good Porto is at home. In fact, every manager that has taken Man City to their first UCL game has come out with a result. I don't per se see them losing here but they are too good to think they won's score even though Porto has given up only ONE goal all year!
BORUSSIA DORTMUND FH (+125) & BORUSSIA DORTMUND FG (-120)...BIG PLAY!!!: Villareal are a complete mess especially out the gate this season. The same cannot be said about Dortmund. In fact, Dortmund having tasted defeat just twice across their last 23 UCL home outings (W17, D4) and with the squad and management barely changed, I cannot see that stopping here. Villareal on the other hand failed to win their opening game in each of their prior five appearances in this competition (D3, L2), and since Dortmund averages about 4 goals per home UCL game, I do not see them drawing. Add to that just one of Villarreal’s last 16 UCL away games ended level (W4, L11). But the spread is low and that is the only thing that worries me despite Dortmund thumping Villarreal 4-0 at home last season. Finally, Dortmund won the FH in almost all of their home UCL victories last season, a feat I think will be repeated here again in what looks like a mismatch.
REAL MADRID FG -1 (-120)...BIG PLAY!!!: This is easy to explain for me. Real Madrid just lost to Betis on Friday in a game they really should have drawn. On top of that,Madrid have won the last four H2Hs and eight of the nine meetings they’ve hosted (L1), while also winning 19 of their last 21 European games against Italian sides. Inter are winless in 90 minutes across their last four games against Spanish clubs (D2, L2) and for as good as Inter is, they do lose on the road more than at San Siro. I do prefer dropping the lower coin and taking the goal line and absorbing a push rather than a heftier price for just the win, even though I think Madrid gets this by 2+ goals.
I will look at the other games but Aston Villa havent' scored this year so hard to back them despite being much better than their opponents in Club Brugge, who always seems to do well in the UCL. I like Betis but Lille have started the season super strongly so will have to see those lineups. For now, tail or fade, good luck to all...

CRYSTAL PALACE (-135): I understand the challenges that CP have been having at the beginning of this season but some of that is due to changes in the squad while others are due to players like Mateta not having seen the field quite yet due to injury. They now take on a pesky Middlsbrough team that could cause them problems, but I don't think they will. Crystal Palace always seem to play well in this competition and I dont see today's home game being any different. Their struggles to begin the EPL campaign are the only reason this is not a big play but I like them in this spot which such a short line.

Adding one play from the EPL Cup:
