if he's as accurate as vick and tebow then of course the niners have problems.... good, balanced analysis even with all kaeps.... |

i think it's a factor, but i have it down due to dome environment and fast track turf helping niners slashing / crossing / speed game... I'd take the ravens in the cold and wind and mud anyday.... i'd even like them at Candlestick this week.... but not in Dome sterile / plastic / speed environment.... it's based on a total hunch, nothing scientific. (only game experience this year is baltimore played in dome once and got routed by houston, niners in domes 4 times -- lost to Minny and Rams then beat Saints and Falcons) |

the dog here is on a great run.... sure there were narrow victories some call "miracle" wins, but they won them nonetheless. the linebacker story is genuine and he really leads the way... the favorite has a much better running game and should be favored here based on a tougher schedule and more pure talent and speed throughout the roster.... but how can you measure the heart of this dog with history on it's side... it sure seems like a lot of points to lay
Now, was that write up about Alabama / Notre Dame or Niners / Baltimore ???? Hard to tell, isn't it. |

have to hedge and take 4 points...... can still win both. crazy to let it all ride unless you don't care that much about the money at stake |

I can't guess coin or guess Anthem time, but here's your early winner. Ravens kick to L'Michael James and he's gone.... ala Devin Hester.
Ravens special teams were shaky against the Broncos and their adjustment to the James' Quack Attack on the speedy turf will come 98 yards later with the Niners up 7-0.
If he returns one you can thank me later. |

great breaking story that everyone in cali likes the niners.... i'll break this too you --- so does everyone in Oregon, a lot in Nevada, and a ton in Arizona. They won 5 Superbowls from 81 to 94 and that'll do it. didn't affect the giants either time they made the superbowl the last 5 years and we were supposed to be scared off by the tons of public new york money pouring in on the giants. Judge what happens on the field, not who Sally in Bakersfield is rooting for. |

Nice try on the strength of schedule angle, since the exact opposite turns out to be true.....
Started to wonder how Seattle twice, Pats, Minny, Giants, at Saints, at Falcons, Packers twice.... wasn't as good as playing the Steelers, Bengals and Browns twice each. Oh, and they lost to Philly, Houston, Cincy, and to Charlie Batch. I see that's all been covered now ----- ravens have destiny, destiny, destiny. Just like Notre Dame had on their side. Better check to see if Ray Lewis REALLY is retiring. He may be pulling a Te'O with FAKE retirement and will really return to play linebacker again next year. |

both publics and sharps clearly on ravens in this one, judging by everything i see on these boards plus line moves.... now what.

line is saying niners. haven't even heard anyone pick the ravens because they're getting points, only that "they're just better", "wrong team favored", "team of destiny", "winning straight up" "have to love the money line"
um.................... just like in atlanta: the right team is favored. |

niners over broncs, washington over broncs, cowboys over bills, bears over pats..... the nfc used to whoop em every year
must have been nightmares for the books

great example of how scary betting favorites can be...... niners did lay 18 or 19 and absolutely destroyed the chargers ---- and humphries did lob one up at the end for the cover....
whew..... 49-26 i think?

this is classic.
love it. anytime you see a consistent losing system, you've got yourself a winning system going the other way. make that 2-8 ats

my opinion, but "what if they were at home" is clearly not applying here in the playoffs.... they were 4/4.5 at atlanta and there's no way if they switched that game to sanfrancisco last week they'd have been 10/10.5
just like this week.... can't add 3 points because that would stick the opening line at 8, and i think they'd never have done that..... even at 5 they got tons of early baltimore action. Just look at these boards on covers..... doesn't mean it's a loser (public has nailed the superbowl several times the past few years) but it's obvious more people would take the points at this point baltimore more battle tested baltimore knocks off denver AND new england baltimore with veterans on defense vs. 2nd year QB baltimore awesome through the air, niners looked ugly in 1st H baltimore seems like team of destiny baltimore with better FG kicking game HOWEVER ---- dome / turf should help the niners big time as should ability to stretch the field.... baltimore takes their shots down field, but everything else in 15 yard box that the niners can stuff --- atlanta's weapons are strong and they got 0 pts in 2nd half, about what Packers got in 2nd half the week before. seems like tight game, i think niners kicking issues will turn out to be a positive..... akers kickoffs were still awesome, meanwhile they're playing for 7 not 3, which is what knocked them out of the playoffs last year...... no more settling. Both defenses should tighten up and get off the field.... can't see both teams getting past 23/24 points each..... hoping / thinking the niners have 1 more big play in them than the ravens.

Least likely to go deep in the playoffs is a LITTLE overexaggerated... they were touchdown favorite over the Colts and the Bengals were clearly expected to do less, but points well taken about the +touchdown dog the next two weeks..... only 2 other teams have done this, and both finished it off by winning the Bowl..... Brady's first w/ Pats and the Tyree ball-on-head Giants.
Niner fan here but good luck to your squad, they may have fate on their side. What else can you say when trailing 7 on their own 30 in Denver with :30 seconds to play !

those touts are a joke. they're salesmen first, can never forget that. especially like adam meyer who guarantee you'll go 28-2 or a year is free..... or be up 10 grand in a month for a $200 player they love to hear their own voices, that's for sure. also listen for "rest of the year free" "whole season free" -- those ramifications cost them zero and yet you've risked hundreds or thousands. Thinking about touts? Don't do it.

Think about it..... Ryan one step away as vice president before losing, Ryan one step away from super bowl before losing. Mitt one step away as head man in white house, Mike one step away as head man in super bowl. Joe was winner as VP, Joe is greatest Niner QB. Black man with 5 letters in name wins presidency, black man with 5 letters in name wins as quarterback. Race was for white house, Niners will wear white jerseys. Democrats were hoping for 4 more years, Niners need to win by more than 4 points. Seems sort of obvious, but I may be reading too much into it. |
