Geez, typo on my first MLB post of season. Took Kolek over 3.5 strikeouts, but I am confident enough he can get at least 5 that I will let it stand on my record.

Rarely play sides but have been doing quite well on pitcher props. Figured I'd share a couple I am playing today:

Stephen Kolek over 4.5 K: Kolek has already struck out 6 vs. the Blue Jays , who are bottom 3 in team strikeouts. Now he faces a travel weary Giants team that strikes out in their sleep. They even let gas can Cal Quantrill K them 8 times on the weekend. 3 units.

German Marquez over 5.5 K: Marquez is finally healthy again and has gone at least 6 innings in 3 of last 4 starts. Strikeouts are also up, including 7 against the Phillies and 6 against the Cubs. Think he can get some whiffs against the young Marlins. Rox burned up lots of bullpen on weekend so hoping he has a long leash. 1.5 units.

Dustin May over 5.5 K: Coming off 9 K in 5 innings against a Cleveland team that does not strike out much. Now he gets the Mets who have made the long trip across 3 time zones. LA was into their bullpen early last night too though I don't complete trust over-manager Dave Roberts to give him a lot of of leash and the Mets lineup vs. RHP don't flail quite as much as they do vs. LHP. Worth a shot with May's swing-and-miss stuff though. 1.5 units.

 Yet the line moves from Butler -1.5 to Utah -2.5 overnight. Not sure what I am betting on these games yet but it will be small, so won't be posting anything on here. Not fair to anyone who might be following. My only advice is to tread carefully.

 Trying to break down who is in and who is out in these tournament games. Lot of guys are in the transfer portal which affects their eligibility and teams like Nebraska, Arizona State and Georgetown also have some key injuries. Hard to know how some of these teams are going to respond after being off for varying lengths of time. Nebraska, for example, didn't even qualify for their conference tournament. Some of the totals seem a bit high considering they're playing in a different environment and shooters may be a bit rusty and teams not fully cohesive on their sets. Will keep looking into it and let it marinate overnight. First game is at 3 p.m. EDT.

Got those 4 games in that new 16-team (College Basketball Crown) tournament in Vegas tomorrow and 4 more games on Tuesday.

3-1-1 so far in post-season tournaments.

Couldn't pull the trigger on any big Elite 8 plays, no matter how I crunched the numbers. Tailed a couple of real small plays, including LBD's Houston -3.

Finding the NIT a little easier to handicap:

North Texas -1: 1.5 units

Loyola Chicago -2: 1 unit.

Will follow up later with my reasoning.

That really sucks with that 3 at the buzzer but a push isn't the end of the world. Thankful I got Sparty early at -3 because I very, very rarely buy points.
