how the fuck do you have the nerve to make a thread like this the week after OSU failed to show that all of those losses to bigtime schools were just because they had to play away from home? what are you thinking!? go back to bed... this was ill-advised... This doesn't make any sense, because if memory serves me correct, you gave a bunch of reasons why OSU would get smashed due to they played shitty against navy, yet USC didn't even manage to cover the spread. So Now you are just referring to the win? Big fucking deal that 'SC beat OSU, they did it at a 7.5 fav, yet didn't even cover the fucking spread |

must really suck to be a trojan fan considering every year they find themselves in this predicament. Every year they are supposed to be this top 5 team, only to be let down by losing to some shitty Pac 10 team that they are favored by 20+ points, only to see their national title hopes up in smoke.
Then what will happen is they will end up in the rosebowl somehow, play a shitty big 10 team, and everything thinks they are the greatest again.
Pete Carroll is always loved as being a great coach, but FUCK, quit losing these dumb ass games and at least get in a national championship game.

I'm a huge broncos fan, I hated this guy McDaniels since he's done what he's done in Denver, but maybe he uncovered the true Jay Cutler???
He's been known to throw picks in Denver, now 4 in first game with the bears. I think the guy might have been on to something, and he just saved the a ton of money for the broncos.

To just say "well OSU almost lost to Navy" doesn't make sense. So due to the fact that USC smashes a shitty San Jose St team they dominate here???
Has anyone ever heard of a team looking ahead? Better yet, chances are, they may not win, but c'mon, you really want to bet on a freshman QB making his 2nd start of his college life at a place like the horseshoe?
'SC may have defense, may have RB's, but I would bet against a qb making that kind of start until proven otherwise. A first start at home against a shitty San Jose St team is 20000000000 times easier than a start on the road with 95,000 + screaming fans at ohio st.
I'm all over those 7 points!! ohis st

Not sure why everyone is all over USC due to the fact that OSU struggled with Navy. Fact is, since it's only the first game of the year, who's to say Navy won't be that good. As well, I think that Navy would probably smash San Jose St also.

Comparing USC of last years' whoopin' on Penn State to what will happen in this game. First of all, Sanchez and that great defense they had are gone ( at least 3 solid linebackers and a DB).
Plus, if you are saying USC will win by more than 7, essentially, you are saying they will win with a QB leading that squad into 95,000 screaming fans, this same QB that was playing highschool football last year!
No waaaaay!! I'm taking the buckeyes and the points!

could be that lane kiffin was an assistant on some dominant USC teams before taking the dead end job as raiders head coach.
I think this guy might have some college football mojo.

Hey Fathomable, seeing that you are from Texas, I'm going to assume that you are a Cowboys fan. I think Shanahan was an awesome coach as well that worked well with the crap talent he had. Funny thing will be if the Cowboys do shitty again this year, and Wade Phillips is fired, there is a chance the 'BOYS go after Shanahan. If that were to happen, that would be the second time Shanahan took over a Wade Phillips ran team. He did it first in Denver. |

That is, if you let him play and not share him with six other RBs. I agree with your first part of all of this, but the question is, why did it matter if moreno was off the board so the saints would "DEFINATELY" take Jenkins at 14? You think if Moreno was available that the saints would have taken him instead, though they needed secondary help? I don't even think the saints were expected, NOR did they even have Moreno on their draft board in the first place. Next, ya, he might be great, and who says they might let him play and share his timewith 6 other RB's? Dude, if you are drafting a RB with the 12th overall pick, I'm sure you're going to cut some of the other RB's, and since you're going to pay him a shitload of money, I don't really think you'll be expecting to sit him and not let him "share him with 6 other RB's". Sorry man, but that was some lame shit, and figures that would be the kind of nonsense trash talk coming from a fan of a team they used to call the "AIN'TS" and have never been shit! |

They were up on the bills, and the defense lost it. And that last game in san diego, there was NO way they were winning that one. Fact is, they should have been a lock to get into the playoffs, but one needs to be realistic sometimes and realize that they shouldn't even been in that situation in the first place. For one, they never really had a running back all season, they kept getting hurt. Shanahan did a hell of a job with what he had to work with, and if Pat Bowlen really thought they had a chance through the playoffs and that is the reason why he fired shanahan, then he's fucking fooling himself and everyone else that believed that. fact is, this team is fucked for at least the next 3 years with the mishaps of the owner, gm, and this box youngster coach |

As a fan I'll have HOPE, but as a realist, and if I had to bet on it, I'd play my money that this guy finishes the season with less then 6 wins. Look at their schedule! Better yet, make it 4 wins tops! I'll give him a chance, I just think he's having the worst start EVER in the history of the NFL as a rookie head coach! |

All I'm saying is denver had much more need than RB, They could have used those 2 1st round picks for a qb next year and rebuilt the Defense this year, but that went out the door with burning next years 1st rounder for a stupid CB. If they were going to do that, they might as well have moved up this year and grabbed Sanchez. |

Overrated and exposed post Elway? HMMMM, let me see, he did get the team to the AFC championship game vs Pittsburgh, remember? Granted they got their asses kicked, but it's not easy to get that far. On top of that, they got there with Jake MR INT Plummer, who sucked the other years in the playoffs as well. Then if you look at the teams he's had the last 3 or 4 years haven't been that great, especially the defense. Thing is, he obviously developed Cutler into something, and who knows what would have happened had he been able to rebuild that defense and had a running back that was healthy. LOOK AT ALL THOSE INJURIES, ESPECIALLY AT RB LAST YEAR! One last thing, it wasn't Elway who got shanny rings, it was Terrel Davis! Remember, in '99 Davis was a 2000 yrd rusher who was also NFL MVP. It is fair to say he hasn't been shit without Elway, but then again, when you had Griese, Plummer, and a young Cutler, you weren't going to go far. |
