As Las Vegas gets hurt financially from this economy you will notice more fluke upsets
in Penalty Box My brother use to work as an executive for the MGM/Mirage sportsbook. He has told me that there are alot of players in all different sports being paid under the table by associates of major vegas books. Of course these are questionable characters who have no paper trail with Vegas. He also indicated that if vegas only made their money by the 10% juice alot of them would go under. Fact is a great number of times (obviously not all the time) Vegas handicappers set the lines in a way to presuade the public to take the obviously superior team. Little do we know that someone was paid prior under the table to make sure the public money loses! It could have been a player or a referee or a coach. In tonights game there is a very good chance that the QB of Southern Florida (remember potential Heisman) may have gotten something under the table. I am not saying this actually occured in this game but when u watch all sports week by week there always seems to be some line which does not make sense and then 90% of the total money goes one way and then obviously the public ends up losing. Even all of the 16 covers experts predicted S. Florida to win and cover. There was not even 1 expert for Cinn considering they were playing a 4th string QB. Naturally most of the games are legit and the lines are also legit. However the lines which seem out of wack are the games that the experts heavily lean on and the great majority of the betting public usually goes by the so called experts opinion and time and time again the so-called experts and the betting majority end up losing. As the gambling industry (Vegas, Atlantic City, etc) continues to get hit harder financially because of the economy you will start noticing more and more of lines that seem off which in turn leads to more corruption

Heisman!!!! He doesn't need the hesiman. He just got paid around $10 million from Vegas under the table to lose this game. Money controls everything. It happens all the time whenever 1 team is obviously superior in talent against their opponents and the gambling industry cons people to wager their paycheck on the superior team they always clean up. Vegas does not win by the juice. They win by paying players under the table to throw the game. All you people out there it not only happens in boxing and horse racing. Vegas has inflintrated football, basketball, and baseball as well. We are all only too ignorant and blind to realize this fact. Of course they are not stupid enough to do it every single time. They do it just the right number of times so they can get rich and still keep us thinking that maybe it was just a fluke.
I was told by a close associate of owner Jerry Buss when the lakers were up 2 games to 0 in the playoffs, that he spoke with the NBA commissioner, his own players, and the players union as well as the referees to lose a playoff game on the road so that he could get another 2 more games in staples (meaning an extra $2000000 in his own pocket. He told Vegas and Vegas put a very low line on the lakers so everyone jumped on the Lakers and you can figure the rest out yourself. Jerry Buss made extra ticket sales money, Vegas made money (some off which was also paid to Jerry Buss, The NBA made money from the additional games from television and advertising, etc.,etc.,etc. Everyone must realize sports is a business and the main goal of any business is to make money. Did anyone even realize that alot of the funding for the college universities come from Vegas

It seems absolutely amazing how these 16 so called experts all took South Florida tonight against the spread. There was no even 1 expert who picked Cinn tonight. Can anyone tell me who these guys are? Do they work for Vegas?

Even with the game well in hand with less than 5 minutes left in the game he continues to call deep passing plays on 3rd down deep inside UCF's territory to get more TDs. Any respectable coach would just run the ball. I hope UCF remembers this next year and I also hope later opponents run up the scores to him.

TX richardtonsj, however I am also factoring in the fact that i am only using this reasoning whenever the team is at home. It seems if the favs are at home they also seem to cover the 2nd half as well.

Hello all! I am a newbie to covers however I have been a long time gambler. I just have a question for all knowledgeable bettors. Whenever the home team is covering the game spread reasonably well the 1st half does it not seem like they ALWAYS or Almost ALWAYS cover the 2nd half spread as well so long as the 2 teams are either pretty evenly matched or so long as the home team is much better??? I think I have also noticed this trend in the NFL and NBA also. Any posts with comments are greatly appreciated!!!

Nice calls so far makaveli23. Love all your plays tonight except for the boston game. I think NJ will be fired up to win tonight at home even though only preseason since celtics are the defending champs. GL
