there's no doubt in my mind that tcu wins this one, but this is a very large spread even for smu. i think it's a big overreaction to the margin tcu won by last week and smu struggling up against north texas. last week. tcu has a look ahead to osu next week that wil be a huge game for them. the biggest upper hand i see here is that sonny dykes was once an offensive analyst under gary patterson last season. he should have a much better read on tcu than most who play them.

The Rice play is merely a fade on Hawaii due to the inflated line...im expecting some form of regression here...this is the classic "get out" game...last chance for the sheep slaughtering to chase their losses with one last hail mary...typically fav and over are these type of bloodbaths, thus Rice and the Under really has me interested here...also Rice did well to hang with Houston long enough to cover, which is relatively a good result for their rebuilding program...Hawaii could just as easily play a stinker here and win by 7pts or less.

Somewhat agreed on fading Hawaii after 2 straight surprising games if it was anyone other than Rice.

I just wanted to note we actually have to take Global swarming into consideration now, particularly out west early in the season. The over Under is 55.5 if you’re interested:

Has a game ever been canceled due to heat? At 106 degrees on average, the UTEP at UNLV game is tied for the hottest game on record. Kickoff temps will be pushing 110, but it will get down to a “comfortable” 101 by game’s end.

There have been five games with an average temperature of 100+ in our database, with this being the second at UNLV. Overs have hit in four of the five games, with the one exception coming in the record 106-degree heat last year in the Cal Poly-San Jose State game.

At some point that kinda heat is gonna take its toll on the body and mind. My guess is that it could take some of the fun outta playing defense.

Also with noting UTEP was an underdog to FCS Northern Arizona -7.5 in week 1, and worse UTEP was home, one of the the biggest home dog FBS teams ever. And they complied by laying down:

UTEP 10
Northern Arizona 30

Makes ECU look like Bama in comparison.

SMU is a very dangerous play IMO.

I absolutely can’t argue with 23 at home.

Having said that, with this D, which is a resurrection of the D that gave up 75 points to Navy, is capable is having its doors blown off.

Not a game I will do anything more than watch.

looks like we would have been better served to have waited a tad.

yea, man! i'm seeing it hit 24 and that's where i wanted it to be. i honestly didn't think it would get there. oh well, i really don't see this being a massive blowout with this garbage weather and all the points i mentioned. i'm still pretty confident in this play. i think the under is worth a look, too. just because of the weather

Fun Fact:  A Lot of you guys were not even a thought in your daddy's nuts when Mich state and Az st. played(1986).  32 yrs. wow.      be careful loading up on much st tho...Az state is 3-4 ATS in sept. home games as the underdog.  No play for me.  but i woulda blind bet Mich st -5.5...lol   beware.

with this ad blocker app I've noticed my Mac acts slower but still blocks the ads and all.  was thinking of removing it since id rather click off the ads instead of dealing with a slow PC.  instead, if you go into Options, and unclick    it will greatly improve this site.

Food for thought.

that's odd. my mac is great. i was seriously thinking about buying a new one because of how hot it was overheating specifically because of covers ads. i haven't had a problem since. 

here's what i get for now:
