Lennon, you're a genuinely good guy. I sense that the world will continue to be a better place with people like you in it. Don't give up even if you think otherwise.
By the way an old acquaintance of mine decided to fly a little Cessna out to sea until it ran out of fuel and crashed into the Caribbean Sea. At some point he decided not to do it, landed at an airport in the Bahamas and lived among the people there for the last few months of his life (he had terminal cancer). Last communication I ever had from him came from Bimini "I'm happy to die now whenever it comes."

Brother, we've been on this site a long time. If you are asking this question because you are considering that option for yourself you might want to speak to me via pm. I know more about this topic than most people.
As for the question itself ... if you have ever read the works of any of the Stoics, Marcus Aurelius often spoke about everyone imagining every morning that that day would be their last day on earth, think about how you would live it, then go about living it.
I suppose when I was 10 years old and I knew it would be my last day I would just run around squeezing boobies.
Today, however, I have a different perspective. On my last day alive I would tell everyone that I loved just how much they meant to me. I would speak to anyone I had ever harmed, hurt, or insulted, and sincerely apologize. I would be kind to strangers. I would not flip off the guy who cuts me off while driving, nor become impatient of the blue haired lady driving too slow in the left lane. I would hug my children and tell them how very proud of them that I am, and how much their presence improved my life. I would smile at every stranger I came across. I would show kindness to the less fortunate. I would walk with true humility. I would get on my knees and thank God for allowing me the gift of life. I would simply be the person we all should be every day.
Lennon, if this topic is random it's a great topic.
