Albany was our no. 1 ranked team last season and lost in 1st round to Washington who ranked dead last amoung playoff teams.

Albany last season was by far the weakest no. 1 ranked team we have seen in Arena Football .

This season however it is a different story, Albany is much improved and very likely hungry to win the title to make up for last seasons pathetic 1st round loss.

Washington winning the title was more fluke then anything else as a last place team in playoffs. 

Teams can beat the odds once but very unlikely they do it again, and other teams will be gunning for them as defending champs.

Huge difference, 7.79  in my lines and actual line in the Washington game, we have a play on Philly sun afternoon game.

And we make a small play on Albany with only a small difference in my lines because of motivational factor after losing in 1st round last season. They likely will want to set the tone at home playing in this 1st game.

Philly +3 (-120) over Washington --- 3.6 units to win 3 units

Albany -9.5 (-115) over Baltimore  --- 1.15 units to win 1 unit

Philly +2.28 in PR I.........

Don't see any future odds on them at this time.

Check my local book but they don't carry Arena Football, can't imagine they don't have Arena Football in their Vegas casino's though.

Many books didn't post a line untill today, the day of the game. Some only have Albany game but not Philly as that game is tommorrow.

They have the most fumbles of any playoff team, averaging over 1 per game.

Albany has the fewest fumbles at only 4 but crazy as it is they lost 3, wow, they lost more then Washington with 15 fumbles.

That is called fumble luck, crazy damn good fumble luck for Washington.

Fumbling/not fumbling is a skill, but once the ball is fumbled it is mostly luck who recovers, somewhat depending where on the field the fumble occurs but a big part luck.

Had Washington had average fumble luck they likely would not have made the playoffs.

It is more then likely not sustainable for Washington to continue at such a high rate of fumble luck, very possible they will lose 100% of fumbles  in a game and could lose 2 in one game at some point  in this seasons playoffs.

They could very well lose 2 fumbles in 1 game, as many as they lost all season in the regular season, even 3 in one game would not be unheard of.

Remember they do fumble at a fairly high rate, the most of any of the 4 playoff teams.

Baltimore and Albany are the 2 best teams at forcing fumbles , well ahead of the other 2 teams.

Albany is by far the best team at not fumbling with only 4 to the next best teams 12, tie Baltimore and Philly.

Something to watch for in this weekend games.

Albany rolls by 35 points, very likely they will move on to Arenabowl.

Baltimore would have to beat them by 36 next week and we know that ain't happening.

I'd say they were super motivated based on last years 1st round loss to Washington..

Very likely that could be a great, great spot , will have to look into it more.

The key is........... improving by as much as they improved from last year to this year, big-time improvement = different result.

Hopefully Philly gets it done today..........................

With Albany winning big game 1 they get that revenge from last years devastating 1st round loss and with such a big win almost assures them a trip to ArenaBowl, not as likely they come with another big game this weekend.

We lean Baltimore at this time, but let's waitout the line.

Philly off their biggest win by far all season after coming into playoffs off a big blowout loss to Albany 27-72.

Philly lost 2 of final 3 games in regular season.

Philly had won only 2 games all season over 7 pts and both those were by 9 pts.

We pass on this game at this time.

We'll make a small play on Baltimore with Albany off 3 big blowout wins and a Lean on my lines.

They roll Baltimore 62-21.

Now they are off 4 BIG BLOWOUT WINS, not the best spot for Albany in ArenaBowl.

Don't think I would go against them again considering the spot , a major revenge spot for their horrendous 1st round loss and having improved quite a bit from last year.

Maybe if Philly wins big today could be a reasonable line but looks like Albany will be a huge favorite in ArenaBowl , would have to pass on that.

Actual line is 9, we have a 5.13 difference to my lines.

Albany off 4 straight big blowout wins, not a good spot for them.

Philly has ArenaBowl experience, winning 2 titles just recently.

Albany with the best record last year and the best team but off a dreadfull 1st round playoff loss to a team with a losing record seems to have motivated  them to these 4 big blowout wins.

Don't see Albany being denied the title this season, just don't see it.

Can't find any team stats for the playoff games, crazy, just pure crazy. For a league that barely survives my goodness, can't they put the boxscores with team stats out somewhere ?

I know Washington after losing just 2 fumbles all year did lose at least 1 fumble in the 1st game by the QB who had 4 TO's with 3 INT's.

Other then that I can not find any other fumble info, next year they'll have that info, yea retarded as all get up

The league has been around 30 years now I Think, crazy that long and they still don't have any team stats for PLAYOFF GAMES.

8 or lower we will take some small action on the game. But let's wait it out for now.

At 10 we pass on the game. Info strongly suggest Albany will win the title. Buut ATS we pass.

Philly could have takencontrol early

Great spot we will take with us going forward. We could apply this to the Bears as they also  lost opening playoff game after being no. 1 ranked team. But first we need to see if they elevate their game just like Albany had done during the regular season.
