I think the line makes sense personally... Carolina is a small market team, and people get an impression of them, and that impression takes a long time to change... Carolina is a team I fully expect to cash in on in the 2nd half of the season... I'll elaborate...they look like a horrible offensive, but mediocre Defensive team to most of the sportsbetting community that just looks at final scores and states on NHL.com....Season>> 21st in PP, 4th in PK, 29th in G/G, and 13th in GA/G.... but when you look at them, they have just about everything in line stats wise ...except the scoring (I know, I know, that is the bottom line on completed games).... but when you get right down to it, the only reason their scoring is so low is not b/c their puck possession is bad, or they can't get into their offensive zone, they were plagued with an outrageously low shooting % until recently, and other than the fact that their average shot is about 34 ft (couple feet longer than the top scoring teams) it made no sense .... but up until tonight's game where the Canucks spanked them at home... look at these Carolina stats from their last 10 games Shot percentage 53.21%, L5 is 56.18, SF/G 30.7 (L5 33.6), PP 16.6 (but last 5 is 25.0), PK 100%, yep, 0 goals on PK allowed in 25 attempts, % of Goals for L5 55.18%....SA./G 27........ in short, they are a damn good team statistically speaking, but the bounces went against them for a 1/2 season.... sounds nuts.... but I confidently expect to cash in on the Canes for the mid-near future..... BOL man

Love the stats and research there. And I do agree the Canes have been playing better hockey lately. I hope they continue the struggle though because I have them on a future Under 79.5 points
