To me a lot of this series will come down to the refs. The Bruins are surely the superior team, but the matchup is lousy for them as Montreal can exploit a relatively slow defense with their small, speedy forwards. The Bruins need to be physical, early and often, and wear down a Habs team that is likely to both wear down easily, and quit.
The trouble is that if the refs call it tight and the physical game is a challenge for Boston, advantage Montreal. They have a better power play and can exploit the Bruins defense. Now I still think Boston can beat them in a skill matchup as they have more talent, but it's a closer comparison there. So to me, it comes down to the refs.

This is exactly what I am worried about. Bruins don't play well vs fast teams. I don't think it is a good matchup for them. I am also worried about Montreal flopping all over the ice and no goal scorers stepping up for the Bruins.

Well if no goal scorers step it up for the B's then they weren't meant to be here anyway. As far as I'm concerned, some things need to be a given, and if they don't pan out, then it wasn't meant to be. If Thomas isn't stellar, this team may as well lose anyway as they'd be dead without him. Further, if we learn that Horton, Marchand etc. aren't playoff guys, then it wasn't going to happen either.
Reasonable, controllable things are the only things worth worrying about. Special teams and smart hockey are two keys for Boston, and attainable. They must get something from their PP, and they must adapt to the officiating, all the while playing as physically as the officials will allow.
