I've been taking lots of breaks during the time I've bet sports. Mainly because of bad money management and discipline. It was all fine as long as I was winning but as soon as a losing streak occured, I was screwed.
I got interested in stocks and forex trading so I started reading a few books on the subject and one of the books really made me realize why I'm losing. It's called Trading for a living by Dr. Alexander Elder. It's probably the most known book about trading so I'm guessing one or two here have already read it. Yes it's about trading but trading and sport betting have at least one thing in common: without proper money management and discipline, you'll get nowhere.
I'd recommend reading the whole book but Chapter 1 and 10 are extremely good and most of you can probably relate to what's written there. :)
Now I'm extremely prepared for this upcoming hockey season. Last season got ruined because I lost a few bets in a row when I took way too huge risks.
