 Exactly! I mean did the Lions defense play an entire game to Dallas and had given up 30-40 points to them? Hell No! they were playing extremely well on both sides of the ball so no doubt at the four yard line deciding to go for two at that point instead of playing overtime was dumb but going for it at the seven yard line was even dumber.....Should be fired immediately!

I get the thinking.  Campbell's MO is playing on the wild side; Buck and Aikmen knew he was going for two even after the Decker fiasco.

Detroit had the #3 seed sewn up even before kickoff.  What was the incentive to go to OT, tired as heck, just to get a win that wouldn't move the needle in the playoff standings?  What if St. Brown, Goff, Montgomery, Hutch get injured in OT?  The Lions season would be a waste.  

Last word.  All of this would be moot if Goff threw a half decent pass on the third try.  Every time I think I just got Johnny Manziel out of head, his ghost comes back to haunt me seeing NFL QB's make horrific throws.

 

@ justliketoplay Fired immediately give me a break. Every special play is gone over with the refs with each coach before the game. So Dan would have said that if there is a chance for us to win on a 2 pt game TAYLOR DECKER will be eligible so the ref should have been looking for Decker to report eligible on the two point conversion and he did. Going for two was a safe play Taylor Decker had scored two on that exact plays this year refs screwed up big time. OT is a total crap shoot and if you can run a play that you have already run perfectly twice in the year and that made it three times.

 No way do I think overtime is a crapshoot with the way the rules are structured now and I will always believe that going for two at the seven with overtime guaranteed (More than likely) was a plain and simple Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels play call rolled into one.

After the got fucked Dan said fuck it he didn't care what happened after getting totally fucked.

The decision to go for 2pts AFTER the B.S. ref call where Dan C. was fuming and they were out 7 yards for the conversion was a selfish, emotional, all about me decision. Not one data point would support this decision. Not one. There's a fine line between aggressive and stupidity. He easily crossed the line to stupidity and looked like an emotional child in the process. If I was a Lion I'd be fuming he didnt have the confidence for this team to win in OT. 7 yards vs. the normal 2pt distance is a big difference. BTW, how many time were you successful at that range punching it in for a touchdown??? You failed on 4 attempts in the 1H.

He didn't give a fuck about going to OT. Pretty damn simple. Win or lose on the try. Players didn't need more wear. THE players who play for him have no issues. They have their spot locked up. 

The issues are with the crybaby gamblers.

Glad to see some people have woken up that this is rigged 100%. Yes, it's entertainment and fun to watch and root for your team. Sadly, it comes with a devastating cost. 

Think about how much money is lost and different form it comes from? Savings, loans, etc. 

How much time and energy wasted all for a 3 hour rush, experiencing anxiety, anger, palpitations, high blood pressure, headaches, depression, etc.....

2023 is near the end. Self reflect and think if this is all worth it to trust your hard earned money in the hands of a corrupt organization.

Corrupt shit happens on solo NFL games. MNF, TNF and last night are prime examples.

Wow just seen the breaking news about the tripping call and boy I am irate!  I should have hit on my under…. There never would have been another lions drive.   This is ridiculous and brad Allen’s Crew needs reprimanded 

The throws made no sense.  Run clock burn timeouts kick a fg.  Most likely scenario.

Maybe get lucky and one of those run plays breaks for a 1st down or a TD. Icing the game!

At the very least it would leave barely enough time for lions to do what they did!

I had the Lions m/l but posters in here calling Campbell and idiot should be fired immediately funny he has coached a team that a few years ago were 0-16 the laughing stock of the NFL to their first NFC (central or north) whichever you prefer championship. Not trying to be funny or anything, but you should probably take break from live betting. Sooners QB had his first college start and I have seen plenty of games where the team that is winning passes 3 times. I thought the thread had to do with the 2 point conversation, not a live over under that was over 15 points below the original.

It seemed like Jerry Jones made the call to cover on Jimmy Johnson night. Then it most backfired and the refs and the nfl were not about to spoil his night. That was just a wild ending to the game and I had Dallas -4 so you can imagine my chagrin. I have not bet nfl in these last couple of weeks because it has just been so bad. The Prime Time games are wild. It isn’t like we are discussing the plays that win these games.  It is all about the refs all the time and the dumb ass coaches who make stupid calls.
