That kid could have made out like a fat rat and no one would have touched him just like the guy who caught Barry Bonds juiced ball. Did anyone stop him? Look how much that went for and that's was MLB's HR all time record. Brady doesn't even have the record yet

NFL rules state a player is fined if he kicks or throws the ball into the stands (not fined if the player hands the ball to a fan). NFL allows teams to keep the ball to hand out to players after the game, if they choose to.

The dude could have kept the ball, saying that the player handed it to him as permitted by the league rules on the subject. Nobody could touch him (legally that is) with the ball in his hands. I'm sure Brady will call the guy and take him out for dinner at some point. But yeah, you have to wonder what the guy is thinking today knowing what that ball is worth to the right collector, including Brady himself...

Note: I made an earlier post that contradicts these comments (based on soccer rules that I am more familiar with). I own that mistake...

Funny how certain people in here bad-mouth Brady, haven't heard anyone mention how he went over to 9 y.o. kid with brain cancer to meet him and shake his hand. May not seem like much to most people but the kid was holding a sign up that read "Tom Brady helped me beat brain cancer." . Helped. The kid wept, his father proudly next to him. It meant EVERYTHING to that kid.

Of course sum people dislike others simply by where they're from, in my world we call that a bigot. Thank God Brady's not Canadian that poster would sooner take him around back and shoot him. Bigot and a hippocrat and he wonders why I'm offended. What a punk. Freedom of speech!

Looks like a nothingburger to me, Brady walked over to the kid and shook his hand and gave him a hat...following up on the story there are no details of Brady's foundation doing anything directly for this kid other than being his super sports' hero.

Of course it was a great photo opportunity for TB and it makes him look like Mother Theresa...for the gullible among us.
