From that PFF link you can see that Caleb didn't do anything in that game vs the Saints. I have seen it with my eyes ofcourse, and for most of the year. His only really good game was vs the Cowboys in week 3, and we know how bad that defense is. If you look at that boxscore, as well as he played it still wouldn't of been enough if the Bears didn't win the turnover battle 4 to 0. But that's just speculation on my part.
So for this matchup in particular, the most important handicap has to be Lamar vs Caleb. Fwiw I think Lamar is the best qb in the nfl. Could Lamar be rusty? Sure. Could he be well rested and ready to roll? Ofcourse.
Can Caleb go into a hostile environment and trade swings with Lamar? Maybe, but I'm not too confident in that.
For the Bears to cover this game I think that they will have to continue to turnover the ball as they have. Although that's one area that's never predictable, and Lamar is not a turn it over type qb.
The Bears will also have to continue to run the ball well, play well on both sides of the ball, and also on special teams.
I think it's a tall task to ask of them facing the Ravens who are in a desperation spot.
We'll see

Still waiting on sdql guys to see this.
Mostly out of pure curiosity because I don't think situations like this come around often. If there are any results it could sway me slightly if those results are in fact relevant.

I agree with everything here
I lean ravens but Im probably gonna pass on this game for a couple of reasons
—-ravens allow 32.3 ppg, #32 in the NFL
—-key players returning are too much of a variable, a team’s recent form is a big consideration for me

Great thread and my first thought from looking at the line was that it was a troll for Bears' money. The old public perception/deception continuum. I find myself having to fight against recency bias on a weekly basis.
I might end up including the Ravens on a moneyline parlay.

Lamar didn't practice Monday, guessing could be why the line nibbled just a bit. I will prob wait until I see if Lamar practices by mid week. Getting -6 or -7 with possibly Cooper Rush after the fact does not sound like my cup of tea lol. I'd rather see Tyler Huntley be the backup -1 if that's how it goes down. Fck Cooper Rush
